Cerveza: Secret Wave 2024
Cervecera: Badlands Brewing Company (Caledon, Ontario, Canadá)
Estilo: American IPA / West Coast IPA
Alcohol: 6.5º
Excelente cerveza, compleja y deliciosa.
Again on #beersaturday. This time with a new Canadian brewery, at least for me. This is Badlandas Brewing Company, from Ontario.
Lately I've been trying Canadian beers of spectacular quality. The level of the North American country is incredible, something that makes me quite happy. The problem, like everything that comes from the American continent, is the price.
Beer: Secret Wave 2024
Brewery: Badlands Brewing Company (Caledon, Ontario, Canada)
Style: American IPA / West Coast IPA
Alcohol: 6.5º
Hops: Galaxy, Nectaron and Simcoe
Format: 475 ml can
The beer starts with very tropical notes that make drinking very easy. Pineapple, apricot and citrus are the first flavors you appreciate. But the finish is dry and very bitter. With a very marked pine and resin flavor.
Excellent beer, complex and delicious.
Very silky in the mouth and really cloudy for a West Coast or American IPA.
We will have to follow this brewery closely.
Looks like an amazing beer! I would have loved to sample it. Here in South Africa we don't often find hazy IPAs, so I am very jealous. Especially the fruity ones are very rare, I would love this beer! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!!!
Oh hell ya!
Love that you are getting in on some of the fantastic beers from the region I live in. I find them quite expensive even when I can drive down the road to sample them but payouts from the #beersaturday blogs softens that investment a little!
I am not too far from Caledon but cannot recall tasting anything from them and definitely have not visited yet. A bold and well rounded IPA with Galaxy and Simcoe Hops is right up my alley so I think I should go.
Thanks for commenting. The truth is that Canada has a very good beer level. May very good breweries.
