Beer nostalgia for Beer Saturday

No Beer Saturday

Yep, you heard me right, it's a no Beer Saturday this week, but does that mean I'm going to miss Beer Saturday? Hell no! I have not missed one in a long long time, so why start now. Instead, let's go for some Beer nostalgia.

Let's kick things off with some beers in the sun. I mean who doesn't love a cold beer in the sun? This is a shot from a few years ago around the pool in San Pedro.

Next is a different Spain trip, this time in Nerja, another lovely town in Spain which we love to visit.

Back to Ireland for the next trio of shots, which feature an Irish Brewery called Rye River. They would not be a world beater in terms of flavour and quality, but all things said they are not too bad, and I did enjoy these beers, which would all be in the 3 to 3.75 out of 5 category.

If we are talking IPAs, then it would be remiss of me to not mention Sierra Nevada, which was the first IPA I ever tasted, long before they had officially became cool here in Europe. Yes that's right I was drinking these bad boys while on my J1 Summer away from college visa to the US, when I spent 3 months living and working in California.

Hazy little thing is a tasty beer, as you would expect from Sierra Nevada, who are experts in the field of craft beers and it went really well with some Mexican food. Spicy and Beer, yes please.

Did someone say Hazy? Yep, we can't talk about Hazy without giving Hazy Jane a shout out. We can't really talk about quality breweries either, without Brewdog getting a mention, as they make quality beers that always taste good and go down well.

All this talk of nostalgia and not a mention of Guinness yet? Let's fix that now fairly lively! Here are a few shots of the black stuff. Whether it's a creamy draught from a local pub or a home poured pint watching a match, it's a go to for me especially in the colder months of the year.

Love me some Brew Dog. I almost had some Elvis Juice myself last night. Went with a chocolate covered pretzel stout instead.

Love me some brew dog aswell, my ex husband used to distribute

He had good taste 👌🏻

chocolate covered pretzel stout instead

Oooooooooh that sounds tasty as 👌🏻

It was okay. It just tasted mostly like a stout. I didn't get many other notes.

This is like when a Sitcom does one of those clips episodes were they all sit around a remember the great times they have had in the past.

Ha ha ya it's a big like that alright man 👌🏻

Oh, at first you scared me that the post would be about Cruzcampo, one of the poorest Spanish beers :))

Ya Cruzcampo is average at best. Beers in the sun are always a winner though 🏆

I‘m just arrived in Lanzarote and will search for some beers here.

Any recommendations??

I always like Corona and a wedge of lime when on holidays in the sun. Jugs of sangria are a winner too 👍🏻

And the question on everyone's lips is WHY?

Ah, I see. You always conceal and never reveal the secrets of the brotherhood.

Among all the beers you enjoyed, the one I love most is Guinness. Honestly, I love black

Me too, I love my Guinness and luckily the best quality pints on earth are found in pubs right across Ireland!
