Whenever my beautiful niece is around me, I take a moment to appreciate the amazing trait of a child. Her curiousity wows me all the time and how she innocently asks questions for clarity.
I could be thinking of my life and the next thing she's asking "why is the sky blue?" Sometimes I envy how unbothered she is as to the chaos of the world and how she does live in the moment and enjoy every bit of it.
Or is it times I spank her for being badly behaved and how she doesn't carry animosity about. A child will release whatever is weighing them and allow themselves be vulnerable to a fault.
The energy of a child is so pure and their happiness so contagious. I love how free they are, and how they do not carry unnecessary baggage about.
Feeling inclined to talk about the trait of a child because there's so much lesson we can learn from them and within each and everyone of us lies our inner child. There's always a part of us that's creative, vulnerable, fun-loving and innocent.
My inner child stirs genuine happiness, chooses peace over anything and help me stay creative. To satisfy a part of my curiosity, I love to ask questions for clarity sake. This bring my mind back to memory lane how it was a problem for people around me.They felt I lacked self- confidence and couldn't do things on my own, but as time went by, they realized how I would rather do things once and for all- thoroughly. The fact I love to be in the know, helped me gained more insight, this in turn mitigated a lot of trouble which would have jeopardized my actions or decisions in life if I had done things ignorantly and haphazardly.
Do I feel connected to my inner child? Yes. I am bold enough to make choices and that's a plus for me. We live in a world filled with many options which makes people often indecisive but like a child will point and tell you with all sincerity "I want a blue ball". I also know what I want and can never be cajoled to choosing otherwise.
Accepting correction with an open-mind is a way I connect with my inner child. No hard feelings attached in any kind of way. I apologize when I am wrong because there's no need of letting my ego ruin the beautiful connection with people.
The inner child craves peace. So too, it's a lifestyle to release unnecessary baggage in my heart and forgive easily. Without a second thought you'd never find me where my peace of mind is at stake.
Creating fun activity is something that have become a part of me, which has helped to keep my worries at bay. The simple things in life brings me unexplainable joy and immersing myself in the moment has been a secret to genuine happiness.
The world makes it hard to keep our inner child alive but it requires intentionality on our part to ensure we never let the child inside of us die.
Vulnerability is a part of life.Cry if you have to, it makes us feel better and just make sure you're genuinely happy with whatever choice you make.
