Modern Media Censorship: What Comes Next?

in #censorship6 years ago

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Let me begin by saying that our rights are not derived from words written on pieces of parchment over two-hundred years ago. However the Anti-Federalists were proponents of such a Bill of Rights in order to clarify the tenets of individual liberty and solidify them as rights in the newly founded republic. They simultaneously understood that these rights were not granted by the state. They were not granted by a piece of paper. Human rights are granted by natural law, yet imperial powers have always attempted to interfere with such principles throughout the course of human affairs.

Webster’s defines Natural Law as “A body of law or a specific principle held to be derived from nature and binding upon human society in the absence of or in addition to positive law.” Many of the founders distinctly understood this principle though in practice they did not initially apply it to all sentient beings. Despite this being the case it is essential to note that rights are not derived from positive law. Rights are derived from natural law and those same rights ultimately had to be granted to those who had been denied them.

So why is this battle still raging today? Why are there still attempts to deny individuals and groups their natural right to self-expression? It is apparent that these tenets are no longer considered paramount to the public at large. Everyone so voraciously consumes massive amounts of entertainment and fluff, but so very few can even recite these rights that were granted not by man, but by the universe. These principles are the birthright of not only Americans, but every living being on the planet.

There are regimes that attempt to stifle these birthrights usually through the implementation of fear induced by coercion or the threat of unjust force. The big tech companies are the next regime. They have been building themselves up right under our noses. Basically everybody knows at this point that their main purpose on this planet was not the egalitarian dissemination of human voices and perspectives. Their main objective was data mining all of us for profit, and to provide information to the intelligence agencies that are closely connected to them.

At first Youtube really did seem great in that it was a free platform, and it provided everybody with a voice. Then it was acquired by Google. The assaults on our liberties have continued incrementally ever since. Before this recent wave of censorship there was another huge wave of censorship that was more effectively concealed that involved the demonetization of nearly every dissenting voice. They have chosen to actively suppress anybody with an opinion that is not recycled pro-state propaganda. They also have been altering their algorithms in order to ensure that any media personalities with divergent views are not granted the access to the fan bases they had initially worked so hard to build and reach.

So when I first saw that Alex Jones was removed from the websites of the major-media companies I was very upset, but I was still thinking along the lines of them being private companies that can choose to filter or censor content on their own platforms. Yes technically they are. However a company such as Google that receives hundreds of billions of dollars in government subsidies cannot be verily classified as a private company. It is this very system of corporatism that has poisoned the well in regards to public opinion and has propagated many of the popular sentiments of the day. It is this system that has placed the negative connotations on capitalism when the prevalent paradigm is actually a system of corporate (“soft”) fascism, yet so many throw around that word without having a clue as to what it means or that they are actually doing their dirty work for them through their attempts to strip those they simply disagree with of their natural rights.

This isn’t about what Alex Jones is doing now. This isn’t about Trump getting elected. This is about what Alex Jones was doing a decade ago. This is about people tracing back the leads into Infowars past work and connecting the dots. This is about a relatively new audience discovering the work he used to do. It is about them watching the films and taking it upon themselves to do their own research and read the documents. It is about REX 84 (which he is now in favor of?) it is about Operation Northwoods. It is about Bohemian Grove. It is about the list of executive orders presented in the film Police State 4. Yes the truth has remained hidden in plain view, but now the technocratic elite are possessed by their own hubris and they think they are invincible. These are the same people that are literally researching how they are going to physically merge their consciousness with machines and rule over all of us. It is not a joke. That is what they don’t want the Drumpf supporters finding. There are just too many of them. It is about this, but it is about so much more.

It is about setting the precedent that they can censor any voice they wish to as long as the people (me included) continue to give their power away by relying on these platforms for anything more than keeping in contact with estranged acquaintances and distant relatives. I am guilty too. I continue to pump my thoughts into this microcosm of the world they wish to create. The world in which they are the ultra-intelligent rulers of mankind that possess superior force because they were the first to effectively merge with machines. They will fail and they essentially have already. They cannot put a lid on the technology that is coming and in essence there will come a point in time in which their artificial intelligence and quantum computing capabilities will have no advantage over what the common man and woman will be able to 3D print in their own living rooms.

In the words of Alex “I digress.”

The real question is “Where will it stop?” Where does it stop? Alex Jones is not the only person that has been shut up. So where does it stop? If Google is to be considered a private company then why cannot they be stripped of their subsidies? Because they are the CIA. They are more than in cahoots with the establishment. They are their own branch of the sordid tree of slavery. When Youtube initially sold out to Google I proclaimed to many that they were then evil. Most people would respond by asking me how this was so. At the time I did not really have a sufficient answer that was more developed than “they’re Google now.” Now I can see that they are in their own “Infowar” which ultimately involves the purge of all dissenting voices in America. It has not fully happened yet. This is simply their first move, but this has proven that I was right all along. “Don’t be evil” turned out to be a prime example of doublespeak. Such is the nature of the beast.

So what is the solution? Well I know what it is not. It is not begging the government to get further involved and force these firms to allow all voices they disagree with. They have drawn their line in the sand. They have dug their hole and now they can lie in it. What should be done with every single one of these big tech firms though is that they should all be stripped of their corporate welfare and government subsidies in their entirety since they have chosen to reaffirm their stance that they are private companies. Private companies with very clear objectives that involve stifling the free speech of others should not under any circumstance be subsidized by public funding. This in itself actually is a violation of the freedom of speech because the government is enabling the status that keeps these companies cemented at the forefront of information technology. It is likely that they are not going to go away any time soon, but their subsidies should.

The real solution is using platforms such as this more often than not. The solution is having the courage to be the voice in the dark. The real solution is having the courage to scream it from the rooftops. “I have a voice. I will not be silenced.” The solution is relinquishing the immense amount of attention and energy we have been giving these platforms with no return on investment for us. Our data is highly lucrative to them, but these platforms at this point have very little to offer us compared to the alternatives that are emerging. I won’t lie. I’m probably not going to delete all of my accounts though I have considered it on multiple occasions. What I am going to do is speak my mind. Why did it have to go this far to initiate this process? Despite that fact I think this is ultimately a positive occurrence because in reality these attacks upon the natural rights of humanity lend credence to the assertions that the “conspiracy theorists” have been attempting to get across all along. Anyone who was paying attention knew this was coming. We just could not pinpoint the exact point in time that they would make this move. If their objective was to put the Infowars app at the top of the list they have succeeded.

If their objective was to reveal their true colors to the public they have succeeded. If their objective was to grow the sphere of dissenting voices they have succeeded. For some reason something tells me this isn’t exactly what they were shooting for, but there is still so much more to come. This was just the first wave of modern PSYOPS intended to purge the web of dissenting voices and turn it into exactly what it has been utilized to escape. Youtube is ultimately one of the replacements for cable television, yet they are worshiping the kind of bland content guidelines that in part caused the mass exodus away from such services. To be fair Google is not the only company at fault here they are just the company that comes readily to mind. It was clearly a coordinated attack by Youtube, Facebook, Apple, and Spotify against autonomous thoughts and ideas. Furthermore there are over a dozen more companies that have followed suit.

This isn’t about agreeing with Alex Jones. This is about defending the speech of your political opponents. This is about defending the speech of everybody. If people are going to put up with this shit and even applaud it then where does it end? It ends with the death of your right to speak. It ends with citizens packed into train cars for the last time. It ends with you being carted away when there is no one left to protect you. I am not the first to borrow this poem by Martin Niemöller, but I am certain that it applies now more than ever.

“First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”
