Today was the 4th day of my road to HiveFest.
For those who missed my previous posts, I began a 1500km motorbike to HiveFest from Cluny (France) to Split (Croatia) to attend HiveFest.
Here are the links to the previous posts: Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3
It's been the culmination of my journey's intent and one of the most unforgettable days so far. Riding along the Croatian coast was the main reason I embarked on this motorbike adventure to HiveFest, and it went far beyond anything I had imagined.
Ciao Italia, Pozdravljena Slovenija
After leaving Trieste, I first crossed through Slovenia, a country of incredible beauty. Each kilometer revealed more of its scenic charm, setting the stage for the breathtaking views that awaited me later.
Hitting the Coastal Road
When I finally hit the coastal road, words couldn't capture my emotions. I nearly had tears in my eyes. After enduring so much to arrive here, my dream was finally coming true. The stunning views of the Adriatic Sea against the winding roads were a sight to behold, and every moment on that road felt like a reward. I was treated to a big blue sea and sky, and a dazzling sun.
Here is a short preview of the recording I did:
Impromptu Meeting with Fellow Hivers
My journey included a delightful stop in Senj, where I met three lovely fellow Hivers who are also on their way from Poland to HiveFest: @olga.maslievich and her two daughters, @bugavi and @darine.darine.
Sharing stories and laughs with them added a nice touch to an already perfect day. It’s wonderful to see how the Hive community spans across borders.
The Challenge of Dreams
Dreams often come with their challenges, and today's ride was no exception. Driving nearly all day along winding, mountainous roads is physically demanding.
Although the road quality was excellent and the views were breathtaking, I reached Zadar totally happy but thoroughly exhausted.
After a nice relaxing shower, I was able to comfort myself with a sunset by the sea, all accompanied by the Moon (and a refreshing beer - tagging @detlev)
It's coming to an end
Tomorrow marks the final leg of my journey. Fortunately, I only have about 150 km left to reach Split.
I look forward to ending this trip in style and a relatively relaxed manner, savoring the last stretch of this incredible adventure.
Thank you for following along on this journey. Your kind words and encouragement mean the world to me. Stay tuned for the grand finale of my road to HiveFest!
Ride on!
Nice one to get there, waaaayyyy better than taking a flight!
Take it easy on the mountain roads and don't forget to enjoy enough!
Thanks for the encouragement! I'll keep enjoying every twist and turn.
Such a great coincidence, we almost posted at the same time. I'm glad you safely reached your destination, thanks God 🙏🏻
When I read your description of nature beauty I realized, that there's someone better at descript than me.
It was really great to meet you:)
And see you soon 😇
It was my pleasure to meet you all. See you (again) in Split
You also made our beautiful day even more interesting and full of fun communication, friend @arcange Now we will feel more relaxed at Hive Fest knowing you closer 😀
Thank you for your kind words @olga.maslievich. See you in Split
what a wonderfull landscape to drink a beer :D
Fully agree, Croatia is definitely a country of stunning landscapes and beers.
Oooh, so your Hive Meetups streak has already begun, and with 3 lovely ladies... What could you expect more? 😃
I do travel multiple days driving a lot, but by car... Anyway, every next day is harder than the previous as that tiredness is accumulating... Luckily, you will reach your destination soon!
Safe travels! See you soon!
Yes, meeting fellow Hivers along the way has been a bonus.
I fully agree, each day on the road adds a bit more fatigue, but the motivation to attend HiveFest and meet everyone keeps me going.
See you soon!

.What a legend! I went through Slonevia after Hive fest Krakow (2018). If you get the time (maybe on the way back) go up to the Logar Valey in Slovenia. Safe trip tomorrow!
Thank you for the suggestion about the Logar Valley. It looks amazing but unfortunately it's a bit far away from my return path. I will keep that in mind for my next trip to Slovenia.
So great to put a face (and bike) behind the name. The GIF of you rolling out on @bugavi's post is so great. All of this is so fun!
Yeah, @bugavi capturing that moment is nice. I recorded my whole trip on camera but found myself to tired to start editing at the end of the day. I'm such a noob with this technology, I may ask help to someone to do the editing when back home.
What an awesome experience! I love motorbike riding (although I don't do it anymore after 2 accidents) but traveling this way has to be a wonderful trip!
Enjoy the Fest!
Sorry to hear about your accidents
Thank you for following along on my journey!
My pleasure!

If all goes according to plan, I start tomorrow. It's the same route as yours.
Excellent. I warned everyone I met that you were going to be passing by. 😀
I stopped in Karlobag for a coffe. It rains as hell from home up to here. I need about three hours more to Split.
I know how much heavy rain can slow you down. At least you won't have to dry your gloves and boot at arrival :P
