When I got the invitation, I knew things were about to get serious. Playing at this level is not just about being good—it’s about staying sharp. Every brawl, every lineup, and every decision can make or break the team’s success. There is no room for mistakes. Victory is a team effort.
For a long time, I watched KoG players dominate battles with their smart moves and deep game knowledge. Now, I stand with them, carrying the Guardians of Glory banner. But with this honor comes a big responsibility.

When @xsuilx assigned me to Gold Wild, I knew I was in for a challenge. Unlike Modern format, where I feel confident with my deck, Wild is a different battlefield. The power level is higher, the card pool is wider, and my resources are limited.
I entered this brawl knowing I would face experienced fighters, players with fully upgraded decks at gold level and a deep understanding of the Wild format. They used cards I had rarely seen before, legends of an era I had yet to master. I knew I was at a disadvantage, but instead of feeling discouraged, I felt a spark of determination. This wasn’t just another set of matches—it was a true test of skill, adaptation, and strategy.
Joining KoG changed the way I play. In Modern, I could go through battles while cooking or walking home with my daughter, Vera. Sometimes, I would even accept a few losses to make the most of my SPS earnings. But this time, everything was different.
No distractions. Jazz in my headphones. Full concentration. Every move had to be calculated. Every card had to be rented and optimized through **Peakmonsters (One day, we’ll talk about how amazing it is that Splinterlands allows players to set up a rental in less than 30 seconds, all securely recorded on the blockchain) This wasn’t just about playing. It’s one thing to understand that some battles are decided before the first attack—it’s another to experience it firsthand. The moment I saw my opponent’s lineup, I knew I was in trouble. Not because of a mistake or bad luck, but simply because they had chosen the perfect counter to my team.
With Cyclops holding the front line and Windmaster controlling the back, my attacks had no impact. I couldn’t break through their defense, and the battle quickly turned into a one-sided defeat. The worst part? My opponent didn’t even need their Crustacean King—their setup alone was strong enough to completely shut me down.
Lesson learned? Sometimes, the right lineup wins before the fight even starts. In Wild format, where older cards bring unique abilities, knowing how to predict enemy strategies is just as important as having strong cards. Next time, I need to analyze potential threats better and choose my team with more flexibility in mind.
🔥 Battle 2: A Lesson in Strategy
There are battles where your opponent sees the full picture, understanding every mechanic and interaction on the battlefield. This was one of those fights—a true masterclass in counterplay.
I highly recommend watching this match more than once. My opponent didn’t just defend against my attacks; they calculated every damage source and found a way to reflect it back at me, even stronger.
With a different summoner, things might have gone differently, but in this fight, Lir completely outclassed my Lux. The real standout was Endura Brune, who turned every hit into a punishing counterattack.
Lesson learned? Sometimes, battles are not won with raw power but with a perfect understanding of the game’s mechanics. GG to my opponent—this was a performance worth studying.
🔥 Battle 3: A Lesson in Understanding the Battlefield
Each league in Splinterlands plays differently. Gold League and Diamond League may look similar, but their mechanics can change everything. What works at one level might not be effective at another, and this battle proved it.
At Gold League, Obsidian can easily beat Kelya, using strong Magic attacks to overpower Water teams. But in Diamond League, things are not the same. Kelya has access to Angelic Mandarin, whose Silence ability weakens Magic damage, making Obsidian’s strategy much less effective.
What seemed like an easy win quickly turned into a tough loss. A difficult moment, but a valuable lesson.
Lesson learned? Each league has its own meta and counters. A strategy that works in Gold might struggle in Diamond. To improve, I need to study these differences and adjust my approach.

The [KoG] Guardians of Glory fought hard in this brawl, securing 3rd place and earning a total of 214 Crowns! Each fully participating member was rewarded with 11,128 Merits, and players with a Spellbook received 270.114 staked SPS—a solid prize for our efforts.
On a personal level, I finished with a 4W-4L record, a performance I plan to improve in the next brawl. Entré en este brawl sabiendo que me enfrentaría a luchadores experimentados, jugadores con mazos completamente mejorados en nivel Oro y un conocimiento profundo del formato Wild. Usaban cartas que apenas había visto antes, reliquias de una era que aún no había dominado. Sabía que tenía desventaja, pero en lugar de desanimarme, sentí una chispa de determinación. No era solo otro conjunto de partidas—era una prueba real de habilidad, adaptación y estrategia.

No podía atravesar su defensa, y la batalla rápidamente se convirtió en una derrota sin opciones. ¿Lo peor? Mi oponente ni siquiera necesitó a su Crustacean King—su alineación por sí sola fue suficiente para neutralizarme por completo.
Lección aprendida: A veces, la alineación correcta gana incluso antes de que comience el combate. En el formato Wild, donde las cartas antiguas tienen habilidades únicas, anticipar las estrategias del enemigo es tan importante como tener cartas fuertes.
