Haha, that is a pretty funny clip. I'm starting to learn more about them too. I was going to share a guy this past week, but then I got digging into him and discovered he wasn't Latin at all. Kind of like the last guy. Massimo Farro. I think he is Italian.
A great discovery for carnitas. Maybe I should find a restaurant that makes them. But I don't know any Mexican restaurants around me.
As for music, I usually listen to jazz when I eat with my parents. I don't know why with them more than with other people. I like it well enough, but I don't know much about it, which is to say I generally let a playlist go by. That's not smart on my part.
But I'm going to try to be more careful about what I listen to!
I agree with you on the carnitas, if they are good chances are it’s all good.
Very eclectic mix of music. I’m out of touch recently on stuff, but my daughter keeps me up to date sending me stuff. Good thing I raised her listening to the right music.
I love love love Buena Vista Social Club! Have you seen the documentary that came out in 1999? If not I highly recommend it. Amazing to hear the stories of these incredible musicians.
I'll be jamming the album at work this morning, thanks @bozz!

You must be killin' it out here! @summertooth just slapped you with 5.000PIMP, @bozz. You earned 5.000PIMP for the strong hand. They're getting a workout and slapped 2/3 possible people today.
I have not seen that, I am going to have to check it out for sure! I kind of want to pick up the box set reissue of their self titled album on vinyl. I can't seem to find a price though.
Dude, it is so interesting to see where these guys came from and how they were discovered for this project. The American in the band, Ry Cooder, goes down to Cuba for some other project then stumbles into these artists, one after another. Most huge local stars in the 50s when the tourist trade was so big there. Just amazing.
I've played some Latin tunes with my band, but I'm sure I haven't mastered those rhythms. That takes a lifetime. They are still fun though. Nice selections.
Thanks! Yeah, I really like the vibe of this kind of music. Both the classical stuff and the uptempo jazz stuff. They have a streaming channel on Sirius/XM called Luna that I listen to occasionally.
I think some of this stuff can verge on 'elevator music', but as with all genres there are some great musicians out there. As I've watched your videos I may get more suggested by Youtube :)
I really liked the selection of topics and their presentation. I didn't know Buena Vista, but I didn't know Alfredo Rodriguez Band, their version seemed very elegant, with a lot of style, and I didn't know Jesse Cook either, he seemed very Latin. @bozz thanks for sharing

Jazz is probably one of my most favorite genres. It's just so vibrant and alive. I love it.
Alfredo Rodriquez Band super sound, as is most jazz, bouncy, blue, romantic back rooms, enjoyed your selection, did not recognize any of these bands.
Thanks, I appreciate it! I found some new favorites myself today!
Wish I had more time to enjoy more music, at the moment a long reach..., will get there again 🤣
I hope you do!

That is pretty awesome. It's rare these days to find kids who appreciate all forms of music. Man, I'm hungry for some carnitas now...

Oh I didn't know about that, thanks!
That does sound really cool! I'm definitely going to check it out now!

Yeah, that is a good point. Algorithms will algorithm. I've never really minded elevator music though!
I know you didn't want this to be a food post, but I sure am hungry for some Mexican dishes now.
I'm always hungry for Mexican food, so don't feel bad at all!

I know, I never would have guessed that last guy was a Canadian. I guess talent transcends all cultures though!
Love that Spanish Guitar style in "Mario Takes a Walk" never heard of these guys but will dive in to them a bit. Thx
No problem. I'm glad I could introduce you to something new!

That looks real tasty, I need to get myself some mexican food soon.
I love Mexican food, it's probably my most favorite cultural cuisine.
