All crimes should not be justifiable

in Hive Learners13 days ago (edited)

Good day and happy weekend! Amazing people of Hive, welcome back to my blog. It is another edition in the #hivelearners community. I am so delighted to be participating in this week's prompt topic; it’s a justifiable crime. Do you think that some crimes are justifiable, or do you think that crime is crime no matter the motive of the crime? Keep reading while I share my thoughts on this topic.

Law is very important. There is no country that will stand without law. Law helps to organize the society to establish a certain behavior. A country without law will be disastrous; everyone will do as they wish. There is no country that doesn’t have law governing them, and whenever you commit a crime, there is punishment waiting for such a person. Laws are established in order to maintain order. Law is very important, but there are crimes that are committed with good motives, and they should not be punished or brought to law like any other crimes.

That one crime that I will choose to be partial

The only crime I will judge as partial is anyone who committed a crime to save a life. I know that no matter the crime one committed, he should face the law, but one commits a crime to save a life carried out with good motives, and such a person should not be judged or punished like any other crime. I have seen a scenario where a small boy went to the pharmacy and stole some medicine because he had no money to purchase the drug for the sick mother. The young boy was tagged a thief even when he tried to explain to them that he stole the drugs because of his mother. It is very painful that the boy passed through jungle justice; the young boy was burnt alive just for taking stealing drugs from a pharmacy. I know that committing a crime is wrong, but in a scenario like this, the young boy should not pass through such a punishment because he committed that crime because he wanted to save the mom.

Most times our country is the reason why people commit crime, just as the young boy; he has to look for means to save the mom’s life. If this young man were okay financially, he would never go to the pharmacy to steal. I am not justifying what the young boy did; in cases like this, the cause of the problem is unemployment and poverty.

It is very important we understand reasons why people commit crime and let them go scot-free. We should let them know that such crime should not be repeated. One reason people commit a crime with good motives is that it is very necessary that such a case should be looked into before the victim is judged. Why they are involved in the crime is because of lack of jobs and poverty; the government failed to make life easy for the citizens. The law should not be harsh to the people who commit crimes with good motives.

This is my entry on the weekly prompts #hivelearners #hl-w147e3 topic; it’s a justifiable crime.

Thank you for stopping by on my blog. I really appreciate your comments, support, and upvotes. Do have a wonderful night rest.

It seems that the ends justify the means, doesn't it?

When the stakes are human life, or the risk of losing that life, it seems that we have some tolerance for transgressions that might be committed in order to protect that life.
