Raindrops [ENG-PT/BR]

Dark, rainy days here. Days when I don't leave the house, contrary to everything I had planned. The beautiful days for me.

Dark and rainy days, the ones that make us get out of our routine, are wonderful days. We cultivate resilience and stoicism.

They are reading days and, in this case, the famous poem “Waiting at the Window” by A. A. Milne comes to mind. It's a poem that takes us back to childhood, to everything we think about when we focus on the raindrops running down the window. Which one comes first, which one catches our eye the most?

Poem Waiting at the Window

These are my two drops of rain
Waiting on the window-pane.

I am waiting here to see
Which the winning one will be.

Both of them have different names.
One is John and one is James.

All the best and all the worst
Comes from which of them is first.

James has just begun to ooze.
He's the one I want to lose.

John is waiting to begin.
He's the one I want to win.

James is going slowly on.
Something sort of sticks to John.

John is moving off at last.
James is going pretty fast.

John is rushing down the pane.
James is going slow again.

James has met a sort of smear.
John is getting very near.

Is he going fast enough?
(James has found a piece of fluff.)

John has quickly hurried by.
(James was talking to a fly.)

John is there, and John has won!
Look! I told you! Here's the sun!

Cultivamos a resiliência e o estoicismo.

São dias de leitura e, neste caso, ocorre-me o famoso poema “Waiting at the Window” de A. A. Milne. Um poema que nos remete à infância, a tudo aquilo que pensamos quando focamos nos pingos de chuva a escorrer pela janela. Qual deles chega primeiro, qual a que nos desperta mais atenção?

Excellent compositions, you took advantage of any element to create these photographs, that's the idea. Greetings !

Thanks 🤝

When I was a kid I used to watch my window a lot when it was soaked by rain. I used to play with the drops by running my fingers on the glass to gather them together and make bigger drops.

It was nonsense, but in a way it was fun.

Bzzzrrr, fazendo chuva lá fora! Dias escuros para mim, quando não saio de casa. Mas, é bom lembrar que esses dias podem ser incríveis para cultivar resistência e estoicismo! #hivebr
