The Power of Dragon Jumper

in Olio di Balena11 days ago (edited)

Since I started playing Splinterlands again, many things have changed, especially the cards that I frequently encounter in my battles. In the past, it was very common to find cards from the Untamed, Alpha and Beta editions in battles, but in most of my battles I only see my opponent using cards from the Chaos Legion and Rebellion editions. The reason is probably because the cards from newer editions are more powerful, and this is good news for me because I can rent cards from older editions for a much lower price.

There are still many cards that I don't remember how they work in Splinterlands, so I'm learning about all the cards in the game, so I can remember the ones I forgot and learn about the new ones.

Today I'm going to talk about the Dragon Jumper, a monster from the dragon deck that was very common to be seen in battles in the past in Splinterlands, but currently I haven't encountered any opponent who used it in battle.

The Dragon Jumper has a melee attack and in total it has 4 abilities, they are: Flying, Opportunity, Snare and Stun.

Flying - This ability gives the Dragon Jumper a +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks from monsters that do not have the Flying ability.

  • If the monster that has the Flying ability also has the Phase ability, then the +25% chance to dodge will also be applied against magic attacks.

Opportunity - This ability gives the Dragon Jumper the ability to attack in any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.

Snare - This ability gives the Dragon Jumper a 100% chance to remove the Flying ability from the monster he attacks.

  • Monsters with the Flying ability are problematic because they have a high chance of dodging attacks, so removing this ability from them is very useful.

Stun - This ability gives the Dragon Jumper a 50% chance to apply Stun to the monster he attacks. Stunned monsters cannot attack or use abilities for 1 round.

I remember that I used to hate facing the Dragon Jumper because it had a powerful attack and targeted the enemy monster with the lowest health, so it was very problematic and to make matters worse, it had a high chance of dodging attacks. I remember that it managed to dodge most of my attacks and that made me very angry.

I'm currently developing new strategies for my battles in Splinterlands and for that reason I'm getting to know better all the cards that the game has to offer. The Dragon Jumper is probably one of the monsters that I'll use in my strategies because it's still very useful and powerful in battles. I can even imagine some powerful combinations for it and I can't wait to put these strategies into practice.

Indeed this is a important card. The massive melee attack, super speed and opportunity ability are key characteristics of the card.
