Melee monsters are my favorite in Splinterlands because most of them are a perfect combination of dealing damage and defending themselves, but unfortunately these monsters have a big disadvantage which is that they only attack in the first position.
There are exceptions where melee monsters can attack in other positions in battle and today I will talk about one of them, the Super Sneak rule.

For those who are not familiar with the Super Sneak rule, it is one of the rules that can appear in battles in Splinterlands and it is represented by the image above.
Super Sneak - In this rule, all monsters with a melee attack will receive the ability Sneak and this means that they will be able to attack in any position and will target the enemy monster positioned in the last position.
Monsters with a melee attack have a big disadvantage, which is that they are only able to attack in the first position because they are very powerful, but there are exceptions and they are the abilities Sneak, Opportunity, Charge, Reach and in the Super Sneak rules, Melee Mayhem and Equal Opportunity.
As I mentioned before, my first thought when the Super Sneak rule appears in battle is to use several melee monsters and today I will show a battle that will be a great example of how this can be one of the best strategies for this type of battle.

Link to the Battle
In this battle, most of my monsters have melee attacks and my main strategy for the battle is in the position of my monsters, I will explain in more detail how it works.
Lux Vegas - This was the summoner I chose for the battle and she will increase the armor, speed and health of my monsters by +1, so she is a very useful choice for battles in Splinterlands.
Pelacor Conjurer - This is my only monster that doesn't have a melee attack. In fact, it doesn't have an attack and its main function will be to dodge attacks since it has the Flying ability and a lot of speed. It may not seem like it, but Pelacor Conjurer is an incredible monster to defend in the first position.
Jared Scar - This is my main monster to deal damage. It has a melee attack of 7 and has a 100% chance to hit the attack because of its True Strike ability. In addition, it also has the Bloodlust ability, which means it can become even stronger in battle.
Soulfiend - This is one of my weakest monsters in battle, but it will still be useful in dealing damage and it has another important function, which is to increase the speed of my monsters by +1 with its Swiftness ability.
Vulguine - This is another monster with a high chance to dodge attacks and is also one of my main sources of damage in this battle.
Venator Kinjo - Just like Soulfiend, this is a monster with little melee attack, but it will be useful for other things, such as decreasing the speed of enemy monsters by -1 with its Slow ability and increasing the damage caused by Pelacor Conjurer's Magic Reflect ability.
Chaos Knight - This is one of the most important monsters in the battle because, since there is the Super Sneak rule, my opponent's melee monsters will receive the Sneak ability and target my monster positioned in the last position. Chaos Knight has the Shield ability, which makes him only receive half the damage against melee and ranged attacks. So this monster is my main defense in the backline. In addition, it has the Inspire ability, which increases the melee attack of all my monsters by +1.
With this strategy, I have a great combination of attack and defense, especially in defense because I have Pelacor Conjurer protecting my Frontline and Chaos Knight protecting my Backline.
After only 5 rounds, I managed to defeat all of my opponent's monsters and none of my monsters were defeated with this strategy.

I have to admit that I don't really like using the life deck, but when there is the Super Sneak rule then it is one of my favorite choices.
