The Pelacor Conjurer in Action in Splinterlands

in Olio di Balena5 days ago (edited)

When it comes to defending yourself without spending a lot of mana, the life deck has one of the best options in my opinion and it is Pelacor Conjurer, an incredible card that has no attack but has a great chance of evading attacks.

I have no doubt that you will not regret using Pelacor Conjurer in your battles and in this post I will talk more about this card and show it in practice through a battle.

For those who don't know the Pelacor Conjurer, it's represented by the image above and yes, it doesn't have an attack, but its abilities are what make it an incredible card.

The Pelacor Conjurer is a monster from the life deck. It costs 2 mana to be used in battles and has 4 abilities in total.

The abilities that the Pelacor Conjurer has are: Flying, Magic Reflect, Divine Shield and Phase.

Flying - This ability increases the Pelacor Conjurer's chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks from monsters that do not have the Flying ability by +25%.

  • You can be sure that the Pelacor Conjurer will not disappoint when it comes to dodging attacks and this ability becomes even more useful in the Earthquake rule because monsters that have the Flying ability do not receive damage from this rule.

Magic Reflect - This ability causes the Pelacor Conjurer to return 50% of the magic damage received, this means that if a monster with a magic attack attacks the Pelacor Conjurer, 50% of the magic damage that this monster causes to it will be caused to the monster that attacked the Pelacor Conjurer.

Divine Shield - This ability makes the Pelacor Conjurer take 0 damage on the first attack he receives, after this attack the Divine Shield is broken and the Pelacor Conjurer goes back to taking damage normally.

Phase - This ability makes the Pelacor Conjurer able to dodge magical attacks.

  • Since the Pelacor Conjurer has the Phase ability then the +25 chance to dodge from the Flying ability is also applied against magical attacks.

To show how incredible the Pelacor Conjurer is I will show his power through a battle.

Link to the Battle

In this battle, my opponent and I used the Pelacor Conjurer. In fact, our strategy was similar and the only difference was that we used one different monster and the position of the monsters.

I have to admit that luck was an important factor in this battle because my opponent's Pelacor Conjurer had the same chances of dodging attacks as my Pelacor Conjurer, but my opponents managed to gain the advantage by landing more attacks on my opponent's Pelacor Conjurer.

After my opponent's Pelacor Conjurer was defeated, my Pelacor Conjurer began to shine more in the battle because most of my opponent's attacks couldn't hit him and for my opponent's monsters to cause damage to my other monsters, they needed to defeat my Pelacor Conjurer first.

I could feel my opponent's anger as he saw all his attacks fail while my monsters defeated his monsters consecutively and in the end he could do nothing but watch his chances of victory diminish with each round.

It lasted 7 rounds until my opponent's monsters were defeated and I achieved victory and even after dozens of attacks my Pelacor Conjurer managed to dodge almost all of them and at the end of the battle he managed to survive.

Even though this battle seemed difficult to predict at the beginning of the battle, using this strategy was the right choice because none of my monsters were defeated and I was able to achieve an incredible victory against my opponent.
