Revelation 2: 12-17
The message to Pergamum
12 And he writes to the angel of the church in Pergamum: He who has the sharp two-edged sword says this:
13 I know your works, and where you dwell, where the throne of Satan is; but you retain my name, and you have not denied my faith, not even in the days when Antipas my faithful witness was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
14 But I have a few things against you: that you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat of things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
15 And you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which I hate.
16 Therefore, repent; If not, I will come to you soon, and I will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the little stone written a new name, which no one knows but he who receives it.
This scripture reveals a very important fact that many ignore, and that is that on earth there is a physical place where Satan puts his throne. This place changes from generation to generation, but the enemy is not omnipresent, he can only be in one place, and this time he was in Pergamum. In this city of Greece, the devil had concentrated all his power and evil, but there, in the midst of all that darkness, God raised a church, because where sin abounds, grace abounds.
The church of Pergamum not only confronted the enemy, but destroyed him and God recognized him for that victory, therefore, every church that wants to achieve great victories in the face of darkness must learn from his example and encourage intercession, works , faith and fidelity to God. And especially not to be contaminated with enmity, judgment or religious persecution against others, because this was the only problem that God claimed from the church of Pergamum.
A church that walks in unity and faith is a victorious church. God told the church in Pergamum that if he stayed faithful, doing the work, he would give him the power and authority to do much more than he had done. It is for this reason that we must remain faithful and working for Him, God is faithful to His promises and will be increased His power and authority over us in such a way that there will be no forged weapon that can prosper to stop us.
We are the salt of the earth, the light of the world, and wherever the devil sets up an empire, the children of God will be there to destroy it, to trample on it, because the greater is the one who is in us than the one in the world. One of us can flee a thousand, but two of us can flee ten thousand. An ounce of light can more than a thousand tons of darkness. A drop of anointing can more than rivers of diabolical presence.
This is a great message @darlenys01, we can never leave faith and even that is our shield.
The place where Satan lives, as the word says he can not be everywhere, so you have to know how to identify it and attack it with the sword of faith.
Only faith can help us win this battle.
Then we have to consider that if the enemy has established an empire in our country we have to make him flee.
In the power and faith that acts in us we will be free, and we will be able to face the enemy from our territories.
The church must face Satan with faith in Jesus.
You have to remind him all the time where he belongs. and Jesus defeated him.
Our faith must be based on the scriptures, we must remember the enemy that in Jesus we are more than conquerors, that he is our defender and that the angel of Jehovah encamps around those who fear him and defends them, because it is written, and if God He says it, nobody can abort it.
