Just like in real life, it is never good if your Income is negative. Currently, I have a negatvie 3 SIM income for my dCity.

When I started diving into why my income was negative, I noticed that I was being taxed at an extremely high rate.
My tax rate is 111.944%. I guess the good part is that the game reflects a 100% Tax rate but when you add all the details up it results in all of my earned income being taken.
Due to this negative income, I started looking for ways to lower my taxes. Just like you do in real life, why pay everything you make to others in taxes.
I was able to find there are cards that provide a tax reduction.
Since I do not have a lot of funds, I must find one of the cheapest ways to reduce my taxes.
Church - Costs 1.71 Swap.Hive
Student - Costs 0.47 Swap.Hive
Policeman - Costs 0.60 Swap.Hive
Eco Activist - Costs 0.99 Swap.Hive
Solider - Costs 0.89 Swap.Hive
Economist - Costs 0.92 Swap.Hive
Professor - Costs 0.693 Swap.Hive
Lawyer - Costs 7.999 Swap.Hive
Young Citizen - Costs 1000 SIM or 0.372 Swap.Hive
Priest - Costs 957 SIM or 0.357 Swap.Hive
I found the Priest was the cheapest but was wondering if it would be effective without a Church. Since the Young Citizen was only slightly more expensive, I decided to go with the Young Citizen for 1000 SIM.
I will need to wait and see if the additions to my city made any impact. I am really hoping it starts turning around.

Since the tax was implemented the game seems to have gotten more difficult which is the reason I don't play it often.

My only advice is hold as many SIM as you can - if you hold over 8K sim for 30 days or so you'll start getting daily liquid HIVE holding rewards! Get as many tax refund credits you can for reliable daily SIM income, otherwise the oppressive sim government takes everything else! I think you figured that out already. :-)
