Out and About in the Rockies

Usually when out and about in the Canadian Rockies, I like to take a lot of pictures. Perhaps that is an understatement. The problem is, is that there are just so many photo ops to take advantage of. Walk a bit, there’s a mountain. Walk some more, and that same mountain looks slightly different, but with added trees. Or sun glimmering off the water and a mountain in the background. Oh look, the clouds have dissipated and the sun is shining through - another photo op! Well someone’s got to be there to capture all the action, and it may as well be me!

Awesome shots my friend. I feel you, just keep snapping though its all worth it, even though it might take a two hour journey and make it five, its all good. What a sight to see.

A fellow photographer understands this dilemma right!

You got a couple killer reflections there, nicely done! Timing is everything is photography and you got it just right! What a beautiful lake up in the mountains. I guess you have to put instructions on how to properly walk on a trail, but you know a lot of people won't care and go off trail anyway!

Instructions with pictures, as this area sees a lot of visitors from around the world. For me, don't want to get lost, so staying on the trail is a no brainer. Thanks.

I think it's not easy to make a decision on what you should take and what you shouldn't. Since there are many exciting stuffs, I think you just gotta trust your gut that you've taken the best of shots

Indeed, less than half of the photos I take actually get used. Thanks for looking.

wow what an amazing shot. In this picture the color of the water changes drastically.

You are right, it seems that the clouds and sun reflecting off the water are creating this hybrid like colour experience. Thanks.

Photos four and five are so sharp they are a bit scary in black and white ... on the fourth, the water seems to disappear into volcanic, rough rock, and in the fifth, the destruction you are warned not to do becomes clear! As for the others ... such subtle autumn spectrums of beauty, replaced by onyx, silver, and diamonds!

Fall always brings out the best and most interesting parts of nature! Appreciate the comment.

Yes, indeed ... spring and summer are glorious ... but autumn is the completion of it all, and winter is rest ... nothing beats the completion part!

It's amazing how your lake shifts colors from green in one photo to blue in the next and have both colors in another. Very artistic shots to capture those colors.

Generally it has something to do with the light reflecting off the water, and sometimes the camera lens doesn’t always get it right either. Thanks for stopping by.

Yes, it's the trees reflecting the water in one and the sky in another photo. That's what makes it a great shot. 😀

I absolutely loved all the pictures, they all turned out really awesome. Congratulations.

I've seen couple of folks using this leica lens now I know why the result is breath taking

It is really a stellar lens. Thanks for stopping by.

It looks cool

It is a very beautiful scenery, worthy of a permanent visit. It is fabulous. I look forward to your visit.

Yes, definitely a place to want to visit someday. Thanks.

The view and beauty that my friend showed me was extraordinary and I love the natural beauty there.

Thanks for looking.

You are welcome, my brother.
