This is the Moraine Lake “watchtower”, at least this is what I am calling it. Standing tall, looking over the magnificent Moraine Lake. Some also call it the “Tower of Babel”. If you are feeling ambitious, there is a scramble hike which takes you to the top of this lookout point. It is not for the faint of heart. 1500 feet or about 500 metres of elevation gain, takes you to the top on this grueling scramble hike. This one is way above my pay grade. I’ll let the youngsters have at it. By the way, don’t forget to bring your helmet and trekking poles (and first aid kit) on this one!

The mountains always seem so dramatic; I think this shot would look amazing with a dusting of snow which I assume will happen later in the year.

Yes the snow frosting really looks incredible. Never been here in the winter though. Thanks for looking.
Maybe you'll be there in winter one day although I imagine it would be cold. I know, an obvious statement. 🙃
Becca 🌷
Tough, if not impossible to get here in the winter.
Oh I understand, it's an accessibility issue due to the harshness of the environment. A pity.

It is a very beautiful landscape photos
I love to spend some time near the lake to relax.
I like the black and white photos. I used to share photos in this category Here
Is it permitted to swim in this lake?
No swimming allowed here. Probably would be too cold anyhow. Thanks.
Thank you
I would pass on that one myself! I'm sure it's one hell of a view though... Such a pretty lake, nothing like a clear water lake! Those black and whites look great on the tower. Nicely done!
Thanks, one of my favourite places to photograph!
That looks awesome!... It's an imposing rock formation... I wouldn't be surprised to see a huge dragon flying over it!... (Sorry, since I watched the series "Game of Thrones" every time I see tall rocks I imagine dragons) hahaha :) ... As always: Very high quality landscape photographs!!!...

Nice scenes.
The lake doesn't look deep.
Yeah, I don’t think it is very deep actually.
