Oggi parliamo di un argomento molto interessante che riguarda soprattutto i nuovi utenti della piattaforma.
Con questo post partecipo al nuovo contest di Olio di Balena #11, dal titolo “I miei consigli per i nuovi utenti di Hive (almeno 3 suggerimenti)”.

Tip #1: Patience
It’s not easy to give advice to new users, and I don't even know if I’m the right person, because my Blog is certainly not among the successful ones. However, after 5 years on this platform I can say that there is no comparison with other social networks.
Many people have the impression that social networks on web 2.0 are free, but this is not true: “When something is free, it means that the product is you” said a well-known economist. The rewards on Hive, even if minimal, are a fundamental aspect because they give the push to commit more to your project. It's nice to see that your efforts are rewarded!
In these 5 years on Hive I learned patience and I think it is the most important advice, for this reason I put it first.
You have to be patient because at the beginning other users will not trust you, as the low reputation makes it clear immediately that you are a new user and potentially a scammer... Only with time and dedication will the satisfactions come. I'm not only talking about the economic point of view, but also psychological.
Consiglio #1: Pazienza
Non è facile dare consigli ai nuovi utenti, e non so nemmeno se sono la persona giusta, perché il mio Blog non è sicuramente tra quelli di successo. Tuttavia, dopo 5 anni su questa piattaforma posso affermare che non c’è paragone rispetto agli altri social network.
Molte persone hanno l’impressione che i social network su web 2.0 siano gratuiti, ma non è vero: “Quando qualcosa è gratuito, significa che il prodotto sei tu” diceva un noto economista. Le ricompense su Hive, anche se minime, sono un aspetto fondamentale perché danno la spinta a impegnarsi di più nel proprio progetto. È bello vedere che i propri sforzi sono premiati!
In questi 5 anni su Hive imparato la pazienza e penso che sia il consiglio più importante, per questo motivo l’ho messo per primo.
Bisogna essere pazienti perché all’inizio gli altri utenti non si fideranno di te, in quanto la reputazione bassa fa capire immediatamente che sei un nuovo utente e potenzialmente uno scammer… Solo con il tempo e con la dedizione le soddisfazioni arriveranno. Non parlo solo dal punto di vista economico, ma anche psicologico.

Tip #2: Be yourself
Freedom is what distinguishes Hive from other social networks. Here you really have the opportunity to express who you are, without rules.
You can decide to publish personal experiences, remaining anonymous, without having to reveal your true identity. At the same time, you can decide to publish personal photos and videos, without anyone judging you. For this reason it is important to always be yourself.
I often notice that new users want to follow certain trends, the fashions of the moment. Instead, I recommend looking for your own niche, telling what you are more expert in, or simply what you want, trying to be original.
Your authenticity will make you appreciated by the community!
Consiglio #2: Sii te stesso
La libertà è quello che contraddistingue Hive dagli altri social network. Qui hai veramente la possibilità di esprimere chi sei, senza regole.
Puoi decidere di pubblicare esperienze personali, rimanendo nell’anonimato, senza dover far sapere la tua vera identità. Allo stesso tempo, puoi decidere di pubblicare foto e video personali, senza che nessuno ti giudichi. Per questo motivo è importante essere sempre se stessi.
Spesso noto che gli utenti nuovi vogliono seguire alcuni trends, le mode del momento. Invece io consiglio di cercare la propria nicchia, raccontando quello di cui si è più esperti, o semplicemente quello di cui si ha voglia, cercando di essere originali.
La tua autenticità ti farà apprezzare dalla community!

Tip #3: Original and detailed content
Today there are many tools that allow you to find out if a person has had their posts written by artificial intelligence, or if they have copied from other users by only changing the language. When I take care of the curation of posts, I often go to check that the content is original using, for example, tools like Plagiarism Checker.
I think that originality is fundamental in this platform. What you write is immortalized in the blockchain and will remain there forever! Do you want to be remembered as an original author or as a copycat who wants to deceive the community?
Transparency always wins!
At this point I also add the importance of writing detailed content. When you insert photos, check that they are unlicensed and always report the sources. Better yet, use photos you took yourself! Also, if you write in a language other than your native language, always check your spelling and grammar.
By following these simple tips, you will see that reading will be more fluid and people will appreciate your posts more willingly.
Consiglio #3: Contenuti originali e curati nei dettagli
Oggi esistono tanti strumenti che permettono di scoprire se una persona ha fatto scrivere i propri post all’intelligenza artificiale, o se ha copiato da altri utenti cambiando solamente la lingua. Quando mi occupo della curation dei post, vado spesso a controllare che il contenuto sia originale utilizzando, ad esempio, strumenti come Plagiarism Checker.
Penso che l’originalità sia fondamentale in questa piattaforma. Quello che scrivi viene immortalato nella blockchain e ci rimarrà per sempre! Vuoi essere ricordato come un autore originale o come un copiatore che vuole ingannare la community?
La trasparenza vince sempre!
In questo punto aggiungo anche l’importanza di scrivere contenuti curati nei dettagli. Quando inserisci delle foto, controlla che siano senza licenza e riporta sempre le fonti. Meglio ancora, utilizza foto che hai scattato tu stesso! Inoltre, se scrivi in una lingua diversa dalla tua lingua madre, controlla sempre l’ortografia e la grammatica.
Seguendo questi semplici accorgimenti, vedrai che la lettura sarà più scorrevole e le persone apprezzeranno più volentieri i tuoi post.

Tip #4: Less is more
When a new user lands on Hive, they see that there are dozens and dozens of communities. It's not easy, therefore, to decide where to publish.
My advice is to focus on a few communities, even just 2, but to follow them carefully. Publish consistently, check what other users write, interact!
To understand which communities are right for you, you can select them based on different criteria:
- Language: choose the communities where you can speak in your native language. This will encourage interaction because the language will be clearer and you will be able to chat with other users;
- Interests: your personal interests are fundamental in the choice. Food, photography, art, music, science, … There is a community for every topic now. And if it doesn't exist, you could take the plunge and create one yourself!
- Active users: always favor communities where there are active users who comment and vote. In fact, unfortunately, over the years some communities have been abandoned and you wouldn't receive any feedback if you published there.
Consiglio #4: Less is more
Quando un nuovo utente atterra su Hive, vede che ci sono decine e decine di community. Non è facile, quindi, decidere dove andare a pubblicare.
Il mio consiglio è quello di concentrarsi su poche community, anche solo 2, ma di seguirle con attenzione. Pubblica con costanza, controlla cosa scrivono gli altri utenti, interagisci!
Per capire quali sono le community che fanno per te, puoi selezionarle in base a diversi criteri:
- Lingua: scegli le community dove puoi parlare nella tua lingua madre. Questo favorirà l’interazione perché il linguaggio sarà più chiaro e potrai argomentare chiacchierando con gli altri utenti;
- Interessi: i tuoi interessi personali sono fondamentali nella scelta. Cibo, fotografia, arte, musica, scienza, … Ormai esiste una community per ogni argomento. E se non esiste, potresti buttarti e crearne una tu!
- Utenti attivi: prediligi sempre le community dove ci sono utenti attivi che commentano e votano. Infatti, purtroppo, negli anni alcune realtà sono state abbandonate e non riceveresti nessun feedback se pubblicassi lì.

Tip #5: Study
New users almost always land on a platform like Peakd or Ecency and think that's the only one that exists. That's not true! There are so many interesting projects that are based on the Hive blockchain. For example, if you like videos, there's also 3speak.
To stay update on news of our blockchain, it is important to study constantly.
The Hive whitepaper is a document that contains all the fundamental information to better understand the foundations. It can be useful to follow the main IT developers and witnesses, because they constantly publish new updates on the blockchain.
Surely the idea of studying may not appeal to a new user, however believe me it is fundamental, because only in this way can you understand the enormous potential of the project and be able to explain it to others.
Consiglio #5: Studio
I nuovi utenti atterrano quasi sempre su una piattaforma come Peakd oppure Ecency e pensano che esista solo quella. Non è vero! Ci sono tantissimi progetti interessanti che si fondano sulla blockchain di Hive. Ad esempio, se ti piacciono i video esiste anche 3speak.
Per rimanere aggiornato sulle novità della nostra blockchain, è importante studiare con costanza.
Il whitepaper di Hive è un documento che contiene tutte le informazioni fondamentali per conoscere meglio le fondamenta. Può essere utile seguire i principali sviluppatori informatici e le witnesses, perché pubblicano costantemente i nuovi aggiornamenti sulla blockchain.
Sicuramente l’idea di studiare può non piacere a un nuovo utente, tuttavia credimi è fondamentale, perché solo in questo modo puoi capire l’enorme potenzialità del progetto ed essere in grado di spiegarlo ad altri.

Bello il consiglio 5! Ormai fissarsi su una piattaforma in HIVE non ha un gran senso perchè visionando altre piattaforme si possono trovare delle funzioni o degli strumenti più adatti alla propria persona. Oggi HIVE è diventato anche un ambiente da esplorare
Sarebbe interessante se uno dei prossimi contest chiedesse "Quali sono le tue piattaforme preferite che si basano su Hive blockchain?". Io ne conosco alcune, ma alla fine mi rendo conto che uso sempre la solita (Peakd) 😆 che ne pensi @fedesox ?
