Yesterday I've posted the article:
https://steempeak.com/steem/@doifeellucky/my-steem-journey-part-2
The day before yesterday this one:
https://steempeak.com/steem/@doifeellucky/thinking-about-my-steem-journey
...about thoughts/todo's in my STEEM journey. And yes be brave this will be a clear case in the direction TL:DR... I'm afraid. Nonetheless here we go...
The latest article got some more recognition and upvotes! Nice!
As I wrote in my first article on my STEEM journey I don’t use any extra dedicated "boosting" by buying dedicated upvote/resteem services (but I’ve got vests placed for general “lifts” in recognition / see my delegations under https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html or a little down in this article where I mention this solution) for those articles. This is part of my experiments with STEEM to see how much resonance these would get without extra “boosts”.
I’m doing this rather for myself than to expect big returns. Of course I would love if it’s to some use for readers.
My update for today on my "todo's" I've again placed between the bullet points. So let's see...
- learn something about STEEM or STEEM projects every day! - ☑️ Yep that happened again! Not all things mentioned here where new to me, some I’ve been using for a long time, but I used all of the listed here today again. So I thought it’s just fair and square to give them a mention! @miti and @citiofstarts mentioned Steamworld for instance in the comments to my post yesterday! See the section Steamworld a little further down!
- 190501 checked out and got engaged with Steem basic income (SBI)
- 190501 checked out https://steemrewarding.com (auto upvote bot).
- 190501 checked out https://steempeak.com
- 190501 Checked out @theycallmedan's initiative STEEM tank! I love it!
- Steam basic income (SBI) Did some more vesting in SBI. I enrolled some more fellow Steemians and checked out the SBI Discord channel SBI bot you can utilize to see your engagement with SBI. I love this project and the idea behind it! I’m trying to enroll more Steemians every day for the foreseeable future and probably will up my delegation too. Check them out https://steempeak.com/@steembasicincome Here an example output from the SBI discord server/bot querie:
- SteemAuto Another very nice automation service done by https://steemit.com/@mahdiyari Played around with it a little, signed up and joined a curation trail. I’m going to deplete my VP so fast with all those great services I’m afraid I’ll have to power up all the time now… hahaha! Great article’s on the subject are: https://steemit.com/steemit/@energyaddict22/steemit-essentials-steemauto
- Steemd Great source of info’s all around ones STEEM account and all on one page! https://steemit.com/@roadscape great job building/improving this!
- SteamReports http://www.steemreports.com/ Wow! I love this! Nicely visualized data out of our beloved STEEM blockchain. I especially go nuts for the “Enhanced Votes Graph”… Jeez that is so nice! Check it out if you haven’t so far and give https://steemit.com/@steemreports a follow!
- Steamworld Steamworld, mentioned in the intro too, is another great solution that I’ve been using for quite some time now is https://steamworld.org Check it out and maybe give https://steemit.com/@steemchiller some love?
- qurator Read up on curation initiatives/projects/communities. Today I’ve sent an application to qurator. Beforehand I’ve checked on my content quality especially regarding proper image sourcing. Dropped a question to qurator that got answered promptly. We’ll see if I make the cut… https://steemit.com/qurator/@qurator/qurator-4-0-or-new-multiplier-system https://steemit.com/qurator/@qurator/standard-image-sourcing-for-the-qurator-project
- iSteemd Used https://isteemd.com/ to check out delegation comparisons. Nicely made by https://isteemd.com/about-us/ .
- SteamBotTracker ...and I’ve used https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html by https://steemit.com/@yabapmatt. Noice! Well designed and easy to use UI. Love this too!
- As a result of my research regarding upvote/resteem services I chose Upmewhale. They haven’t got the highest iSteemD score but deliver the highest returns it seems. Upmewhale… I’m still playing around with some upvote/resteem services. So I’ve dropped 2000 Steem on Upmewhale.
- A few of the open questions/todo’s I’ve listed in the original post can be closed. I’ve given them the needed thought and have made my decisions. So here they are…
- But first...
In complete contrast to my experiments with autovoters, upvote/resteem services I’ve found a fellow Steemian who does manual curation and posts regularly about it in his Manual Curation Reports. 👀❤️👍
https://busy.org/@miti/mydailymanualcurationfeaturedposts2019-05-01-xdsz7d6juo
Please check out https://busy.org/@miti with his approach to curation. Very interesting to say the least! I guess I, maybe you too (?), can learn a lot from him.
I’ll be revisiting doing manual curation myself when I’m done with my “auto whatever” experiments.
- ...and I got “STEEMified again…
What I mean by that is… I consumed so much wonderful content today again from my great fellow Steemains that I got a little sidetracked.
This messed up a little what I had planned for today but I had so much fun I just couldn’t help it and it should be all about fun, right?
So tomorrow – fingers crossed – I’ll pick up on my more structured approach to get some more things done in my ongoing STEEM journey.
on my list there are now another 4 STEEM related projects/initiatives left that I will look into one after the other...
- Post something every day? - ☑️ Again check... I've posted the article's - https://busy.org/@doifeellucky/spud-1-powered-up-by-1-821-190-sp-today Yeah if you made it all the way down here... you guessed right… VP depleted still wanna play on and not wait 1 ½ days for VP to be at reasonable level again… so I’ve … upped my SP a little. - and I will post this article about my STEEM journey part III.
For now I will try to post an article everyday (besides share2steem Twitter to STEEM posts).
- Maybe... but, very important(!!!), fight the urge to type every brain fart into a post! note to myself... fight harder...
Reediting this post here clearly shows me I've got a long way ahead of me to make some progress on this. To give you an example:
Reminds me of "A river run's through it"... when older Norman Maclean reflects on his Father
I attended the school of the Reverend Maclean.
He taught nothing but reading
and writing. And being a Scot...
believed that the art of writing
lay in thrift.
So now you have a clear grasp of the obvious... hahaha! Cutting things short aint my cup of tea... and it seems that I'm shameless enough to put a quote in here from a really gifted story teller!
- clean up #share2steem act... jeez... all that twitter shitposting clutters the STEEM blockchain... - ☑️Yes I did that. I will be selectively crossposting from twitter using the #share2steem tag rather than using the “crosspost everything” setting.
- improve post quality! yep... time to step up your markdown game ffs. I’m working on that! Hope it shows soonish…
- narrow post topics to field of own expertise or continue "to be all over the place"? - ☑️I can answer that now! Nope I won’t limit what I’m doing here at the moment. So this thing is answered and done.
- should I make it a goal to make money with posts or just have fun or even behave like a passive investor? - ☑️I’ll answer that with a yes/yes/no.
So I’ll try to get some return on my investment here on STEEM and have fun with it. What can be better than that? Passive… nope. Not at the moment at least. Somewhere down the road I’ll compare effort vs. income and will then possibly reconsider.
- push harder on/in things I'm experimenting with right now (sbi, bots)? - ☑️Yeah… I’m doing that so this point I’ll boot out of here.
- use my SP more for curating and supporting others rather than generating "autopilot" returns? - ☑️Kind of a redundant point… also covered under the “Learn something about STEEM or STEEM projects every day part. I touched it today for sure though. I’ll keep it in here for the time being.
To put it in some simple sentences...
- I'll stick with both for the moment
- I will use autopilot for some of my SP to make returns on my investment
- I will also continue to manual curate and engage further with the community
- Especially if there are changes implemented in the STEEM blockchain that give curators more returns for their effort and things start moving in a more profitable direction for manual curators I reckon I'll make some quick changes here... given that I have the time to do manual curation properly.
- Is it acceptable to further use upvote/resteem services for a smaller account like mine? - ☑️For the moment I say yes! It seems a lot of big accounts (either in rep. or SP or both) even use these or have used these in one way or a other. It seems to be part of the “spiel” somehow. No question at the end of the day it's about quality content and producing such content will be seen in the long run I'm sure. But to get some traction these services seem to be helpful.
I'll revisit this from time to time but for now this is a closed point for me.
- can I do something to improve STEEM? - ☑️ Too early to say I guess. Everything I can do in "drive by pragma style" I’ll do. Like supporting effort to get STEEM on exchanges promoting STEEM via Twitter and so on I'll do of course. I want to learn more first before putting my head into hammering something out beyond that. I'll close this point here too for later revisiting.
- Am I engaging enough with the community? - ☑️I’m not sure about this… at least I’m doing all that I can to keep up with curating, comments, replies and so on. I’ll revisit this on a regular basis.
So far my update for today. I'll keep you posted!
And of course I would like to hear from you about this post or the apps mentioned or your experiences or anything! Go ahead and leave a comment if you like!

Interesting all through, I use/have used all the above services that you have mentioned but I just do not know about @theycallmedan's initiative. Could you give a little insight about it?
Also, before now I have always known @tipu as the most profitable bid bot when it comes to delegation, kinda having a rethink wrt what you wrote. Did you compare based on what you receive daily?
Futhermore, I am happy to read reason being that I unfollowed you because you were crowding my feed with your twitter cross-posts. I have no problem scrolling over the posts but it was just too often and became unbearable for me lol.
So yeah, based on this post I am giving you a second chance. I just followed you once again. Welcome back to my life baby!
Thanks for your comment!
Yes the STEEM tank initiative is covered in this post here (mwaves recording).
https://steempeak.com/dtube/@pennsif/v3vafoxh
You can also checkout @theycallmedan's blog or his twitter feed https://twitter.com/xformationdan to find more info's about it.
Basically @theycallmedan together with @themarkymark and @nicholaslive listen to pitches of different STEEM related projects to offer help or to advise. I sure do wish for that following sessions are with video tho.
The comparison of the different delegation returns is nicely made by https://isteemd.com/. They compare based on the payout for the last seven days and they have a "anto spam" scoring that's interesting too!
Finally.. yes that hefty twitter crossposting was not nice to say the least. I'll still use it but a little more selective.
Hey and nice that you follow me again! Thanks for that!
Cheers!
Alright thanks for insight about Dan's initiative. I will take it on from there.
Also, have you ever compared your daily earnings from your delegations with these bots? This is actually what I was trying to find out because I believe isteemd doesn't have it all right in terms of profit rankings.
I found their results misleading back when I used to delegate to 3 bid bots last year. I think you should try to analyze your earnings.
But then it's not bad if you are happy to just diversify your investments.

Thanks for your reply! So far I've seen that the returns hit the estimation with a 2,5 - 3% variation downwards... Yes they vary, and the stats of iSteemd only cover the last 7 days. I'll do some analysis again in in a few weeks and maybe share the results then.
Have a great Sunday!
Cheers!
Alright my friend, thanks for your replies as well. A better day for you!

As pointed out in your post, posting everyday helps with getting noticed or at least posting every second day. Consistency has helped me on my journey here. Using the cool feature @knirky created (@steem-bounty) is another cool way to help bring attention to posts.
Thanks for you comment!
Yep... I broke my own rule of not using dedicated boosting a little I think by dropping a bounty on this post. Well, it's not exactly the same as dedicated upvoting/resteem service but kindofish... However it fits in my strategy to test and experiment a lot. And posting something every or every other day, yeah I guess I'll stick to that for a while.
Cheers!
This is great. Just discovered your post and account on steem-bounty. I defenitly wanted to know more about some projects. Kepping an eye out for these posts from you.
Thank you @brothermic!
I hope these posts are of some use. I try to make progress with these every day and to share my experiences and experiments.
Cheers!
Magic Dice has rewarded your post with a 34% upvote. Thanks for playing Magic Dice.
You have receive an upvote. Thanks for playing moonSTEEM
WOW, great post and lots of fantastic links to follow up on.
As for any new apps, I have been getting in using https://steempeak.com a lot fort my day to day use of Steem/steemit. Sorta streamlines my daily todos' ... A LOT. If you have not taken a look at it, I say have a gander it may help you too!~
Going to book mark this post as well for future reference. :D
Thanks a lot for you comment and compliment on the post! It's much appreciated!
Wow! Bookmarked even! Thank you!
Down here... Otto's reaction to me sitting in front of the computer all day... tzztzztzz.... Hahaha!
Cheers!
Great post and one of the program I started to use more is SBI and I want to invest in that program to increase my vote value from it.
Thanks for your comment! Yeah, I like the idea behind it a lot too! We'll see how that goes. I've been upping my shares here regularly for the past few days.
It is cool to have guaranteed upvotes.
Thanks for your comment!
You're definitely right! When it comes to using the full tool set to make the best out of one's STEEM experience upvote/resteem services are very effective. Building on a strong foundation of organic votes by creating quality content and engaging with your following seems to be very effective too. But getting off the ground... can be tough and that's one of the reasons that a lot of people get frustrated here. I've read this again and again that people put in the work and don't see much for it in return.
Cheers!
Thanks for the valuable information you have provided on the Steem voyage. All of them are valuable systems but I think magic dice fraud.
Thanks @sipahikara!
I'm glad that you could find something valuable in my STEEM journey post! Why do you think Dice is a fraud? It's not for me either but I didn't see anything scammy about it. Even looked up Github to check for the different Dice apps. They seem legit besides the fact that the bank always wins right, hahaha! If this wouldn't apply there would be no gambling industry in general.
Cheers!
Great Post👍.I have one SBI and I am using SteemAuto to play Playdice.
Thanks @nassimal!
Way to go! Pssst.... I'm still upping my SBI game every day a little. It's definetely a interesting project that's for sure! I tried throwing some dice too - manually - it's just not for me but I get that people like it. Same with other games... I've looked into some posts about STEEM Monsters or drug wars and I like the idea behind those games but I didn't get pulled in. For now I'm trying to figure out what works the best for my STEEM experience and how to learn a bit every day. If sharing theses posts here is of any help to some others I'm happy!
Have a great weekend!
Cheers!
@doifeellucky, It's reflecting as you are following effective TODO list and also analysing by using different Steem Reports. Keep enjoying your Steem journey.
Hey @chireerocks!
Thank you! There's so much great stuff here in STEEM it's hard to chose what best fits one's needs or is most joyful to use. I'm staggered every day how much is out here and most of it is free to use too. That's absolutely crazy good so I try to give back a little either by showing some love to the creators of great content, tools and solutions or by one or the other - hopefully - helpful post.
Yuss, I'll enjoy every second of my STEEM journey that's for sure!
Have a nice weekend!
Cheers!
Welcome and great to pursue your Steem Enthusiasm. Have a blessed time ahead.
Thanks! You too my friend!
Welcome and thank you so much.
Thanks for the mention! You know, you actually made some pretty good points. I appreciate your proactive approach to Steem's world.. keep it up!
Sure, my pleasure! Thanks for stopping in here, leaving your comment and encouraging me! I appreciate it very much! Cheers!
You're welcome ;-)
NOS I am getting depressed, most of it I neger geard of except SBI
Oops.. sorry didn't wanna cause those depressions... not at all I can ensure you!
Ah well... I'm not so sure what's effectively needed to make the most of STEEM tho. I tend to dig deep, read a lot, experiment a lot and sometimes I end up all over the place. I'm trying hammer this down to a more structured approach were I can show people what's working for me and my needs. Maybe it helps a little without driving everybody into depressions... omg... this will stick with me.... Hahaha!
Hoffentlich gelingt es mir mit meinen folgenden, bestimmt etwas kürzeren (fingers crossed) blogs etwas leichter verdauliches auf die Beine zu stellen.
Thanks a lot for your comment I'll be thinking about making use of my new "causing depressions with writing superpower", maybe as some kind of the next Avengers super villain or so? What do you think? Could be a nice courier choice, huh?
Anyways you have a great weekend and please be ready to get help, you know after reading my comment here... better be safe than sorry... you scared me... ;-)))
Cheers!
Well, it just felt as if I waisted a year not understanding how it works (still don't I wear my poker face). I hop by again (with or without depression).
I start somewhere and get distracted by all the other news and if my slow connection lets me down it takes ages to find out how or what. Frequently I also do not understand what people talk about.🤐
I invested in SBI/Steemians and the dustsweeper is active now, I join contests and read and comment and read and comment and read... and use partiko.
Wish you a great weekend too with🌞 and 💕

Hey @wakeupkitty! Thanks for replying!
I understand! Believe me that happens to me too... a lot! The getting "STEEMified" thingie I call that when you just get carried away - in a good way tough - consuming the content of fellow Steemians. Seeing so much interesting stuff that it's hard to grasp what STEEM is all about or to hammer out what you want to use to make the most of it. That's exactly the reason why I started this "My STEEM Journey series". It's a constant wip (work in progress) for me too because there is so much fascinating stuff going on in STEEM. Anyways maybe if you drop by every once in a while and check in for my following reports it may be of some use for you too. If you got a question just drop it here or in the comment section of the other "Journey" posts and I'll try to answer and help if I can.
Again have a great weekend and STEEM on!
Cheers!
What a great endeavour you are doing here. With your blog, you are actually helping other steemians to know more about the ways and means in the steemit community. One great read here. I am also into ways on how to enhance my posts and let it be known by other steem members and I am also hoping to increase my upvotes. Good job.
Hey edencourage!
Thanks for your comment and kind words! I’m really grateful to ne here on STEEM with all those talented fellow steemians! If this series of post is of any help for you and others I’m really happy! Regarding knowing people I guess we’re virtually aquatinted now so I gave you a follow. Yes the questions regarding STEEM I’ve written about are probably of some use for some here on STEEM. But like I answered in a few comments to this post already I’ll try to structure following posts a little more and I will end with a „best practice“ or „what works for“ me post. Maybe in a more condensed form people don’t suffer too much ny the TL:DR syndrome... Hahaha!
Anyways I wish you a great weekend and if you like maybe look into the following posts of this series as well!
Cheers!
I have learned so many steem base opportunity on your post. The summary of the different steemians account and their contribution to steem ecosystem gives to the reader valuable informations.
Peace

Thank you oadissin!
I’ll try to hammer it down to a more structured format with not soooo much text. I think one or two posts down the road I can summarize what’s working for me and what I’ll be using in the foreseeable future. If these posts are of any help for my fellow steemians I’m sincerely happy!
Cheers!

Hi,
It's nice to hear about your journey on STEEM. It's been 16 moons for me according to https://steemd.com and I'm going to give a 2 super awesome tips that I know.
Tip 1
https://steemapps.com
That's a collection of 78 DAPPs on STEEM ranked under various metrics. Out of all of them I like to recommend you collecting Splinterlands/STEEM Monsters cards. It's a cross blockchain game supporting both Tron and STEEM. Go to https://steemmonsters.com
If you are lucky you'll win some cards worth $100+ or even $1000+ At least you'll win few $$ worth cards every 2 weeks if you keep playing.
Tip 2
Delegate for tokens. You can delegate through Steemconnect or Steemworld.org It's like buying into an ICO at extra low price but without actually paying. You simply let the DAPP use your SP and you get payed a "rent" in their tokens. STEEM Hunt and DLike have already done this. Delegating often gets a better deal than actually paying for the token.
Thanks for you comment and tips @d-zero!
I know about steamapps and have used it before. Steammonsters and Drugwars are just not for me. I've read about it looked into it but it didn't catch on.
Hmh... I'll check that delegation for tokens tho. Interesting. Have you made a model calculation on the expected returns with those tokens?
Cheers!
If I recall correctly STEEM Hunt pays about 0.4% of the value of delegated SP per week (they pay in Hunt Token based on market values)
Dlike straight up pays 1 token per SP per day. Thie IEO priced a token at 2.5 cents. Dlike seems to give the best results as long as price holds up well for the short term.
Noice! I'll check it out!
Thanks!
Hi! Maybe you'll tell us about your experience with gambling I see @magicdice and @ moonsteem uvoted your post.
interesting link to isteemd do you know other services which help to compare delegations? Can you share your opinion about it?
In that regard check out my latest post https://steemit.com/steem/@doifeellucky/my-steem-journey-part-7
I've been playing around a little with different gaming apps. In this post you can learn something about the motives and backgrounds of me doing that.
Cheers!
Regarding comparing different delegations I haven't searched for alternatives to isteemd since there process to determine the ranking is transparent and verifiable. I made my delegation decisions based on their ranking.
Good day to cntinue our yesterday dialog I want to ask you did you hear about https://www.steemprofit.info/ site where you can also check ROI of diferent services to whom you delegated your SP?
Good day to you too! Yes.. I've checked that out yesterday after our dialog and played a little with the load button to dig down deeper.
Quite different numbers compared to iSteemD...
But I have to take in account that there aren't many data points for my "newer" upmewhale delegation. The other services are completely upvote / support services like minnowbooster, msp-lovebot or SBI.
I'll stay on it that's for sure and definitely worth of an update article!
Cheers!
Ok I'll be waiting updates let's see what numbers will show us!

I understand thank you for such quick answer! 7th part I'll check surely!
Thank you for your introduction!
you mentioned those procedures,
me have joined them for Most ,
But I won't use them.
Because I can't understand those English,
after translation, I still can't understand them,
So I don’t know how they operate.
Only understand the usage of SBI,
vote for SBI and can get points,
So I am only actively involved in SBI.
When I have time, I still need to research other app.
Thanks for your comment! Understood! It's always a good strategy to DYOR (do your own research). Me for my part I'm sharing my experiences so they maybe can be part of your research.
I'm still relatively new and learning about new Steem apps every day. Not come across these yet, certainly given some more food for thought. I'll be sure to check them out. Thanks so much for sharing.
You're welcome! There are so many great services and apps around here in STEEM. Have fun looking for them and using them!
Very good post, this is the first one of yours I have seen, and I will be following you now to see more like this. You gave a lot of great information. Some things I knew about but some things I learned about! Also, if you are still investing in SBI, the @freewritehouse is having a promotion on to build up their SP (they do such amazing thing supporting content creators) and if you send them 20 SBI shares you will get some bonus shares sent back to you. Win-Win!
Hello @blueeyes8960,
thanks sooo much for your comment, the compliments on the article and your tip with SBI and @freewritehouse!
Heard from you and done it right away!
!
I also followed you and dropped some SBI shares on you too!
Have a great Sunday!
Cheers!
Wow, thank you for the SBI! I just now saw this comment, it's hard to keep track sometimes. And thanks for supporting @freewritehouse - they are a great group of people who really support their community.

My pleasure! I like your stuff, SBI and I like @freewritehouse! Have a great one!
