This is my lovely pink orchid, that last year taught me a tough lesson. The photo was taken in March 2016, that's when I got it, it was a present from my cousin. Pink is not my favorite color, it would be the last to pick but somehow this pink orchid looks great.
Everything went well, this lovely flower bloomed in 2017 and started to bloom last year as well and i was so happy to see the little buds. Then in the middle of January I got sick, was in bed with a nasty flue and fever and needed something to cheer me up, so I brought the orchid in my room, which turned out to be a huge mistake.
Instead of opening, the little buds started to dry one by one and fell off. I had to witness how the stem went from having six or seven buds to drying off. There was nothing to do.
This year when I saw the little stem I knew there is no room for mistake if I want my flower to bloom, so I made sure not to change its place after watering it. So far so good, look at it, it looks healthy.
For you who didn't know, don't move the flower once it starts to bloom!

Don't laugh but I was told the flower felt that I'm sick and that's why the buds dried off 😀
So this year I made sure not to get the flu while the flower is blooming. 🤧
