When shooting quarters, streets, lanes and courtyards, there are always photos that are not included in the series. Such frames are usually obtained when I turn from the street to the street or accidentally see an interesting frame and go beyond the limits of the territory to be shot.
Let me remind you, why do we need to photograph the dilapidated Ustyug. This is a documentary photography, the purpose of which is to capture the ancient wooden appearance of the city (and very soon the district), which is disappearing by leaps and bounds. Houses are dilapidated, people are resettled out of them, and then empty buildings are knocked down and soon its are dismantled. Some houses are lucky a little more - if it is a monument of federal significance, then it will last longer. But the fate of them all the same. Time for such a shooting is only after 9 pm, so all the photos were taken in the night. Yes, and with street lighting, its are much more interesting than during the day.
Photos that were not included in the Shilov Lane series were made around this lane, that is, in the neighboring streets that surround this quarter.
Zakharov's house at the crossroads of Shilov’s street and alley. It is a children's art school.
Restored Church of St. George on Shilov Street.
The sidewalk near the Children's Art School overlooking the St. George Church.
The same church, view from the street Uglovsky.
Across the road from it stands another church of Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves, which is also in the process of being restored. View from Uglovsky street.
An old wooden dwelling house on Uglovsky Street, located opposite the "blackening on silver plant".
The layout of this house is typical of wooden two-story houses in the center of Veliky Ustyug. Inside, something like ordinary apartments with a shared WC and kitchen.
This house stands on the street Kopylov, which runs along the shore of Smolnikovo lake. The layout inside is also more like a communal than a classic apartment barrack.
Typically, this house has one or two entrances from the end, a long corridor inside and a shared WC on each floor. Each entrance leads to a separate floor.
In the yard, as always, sheds, baths and gardens. There is a swing.
Nearby on the same street Kopylova there is a completely atypical wooden apartment building.
Each apartment has a separate entrance.
The house has three floors, but the layout can only guess.
Streets and neighborhoods in the area of the Smolnikovo Lake have an ancient history and can please with their nooks a lover of provincial color.

They are rather lovely nighttime shots. The swing reminds me a bit of some gallows I saw recently!
