This negative hype train is doing nothing but picking up pace instead of slowing down. The FUD relating back to crypto is coming thick and fast. Bloomberg are the latest entity to jump on the bandwagon suggesting that BTC is entering a renewed selling trend after the last downturn a few hours back. Adding to this the numerous calls for $100 BTC, it's no wonder why most are running for the hills.
Whilst I'm fully aware that this whole bearish movement will take its time to play out before the next bull run, I must admit that every time I see more of these "expert analysts" push their opinion on us, it gives me hope. Of course most have heard about the "contrarian" herd mentality argument, but I've actually witnessed it first-hand back in 2014. At that point, literally "every" article trashed BTC and crypto. The only coins to speak of back then were BTC, Ethereum and Dash. But the big news headlines all sung the death knell chant and I see the same thing happening now.
With the huge shift in price to the downside, it can be extremely difficult to keep a level head, at the best of times. But another way to look at it is just go with the flow, don't fight it. It's OK to vent about the prices or speak of your hate for crypto. Anything to unload the excess negativity in your mind. When the ship turns, which it will, you can bet your bottom dollar you'll be feeling much better afterwards. But bottled emotions in a toxic environment like this can only be a bad thing, I believe.
For instance, I see things from a totally different perspective. I got into BTC when it was around the $500 mark. And I recall back then thinking it was so damn expensive! So even though we've fallen so much, for my point of view, $3,400 is way better than $500! And those who got in at $10 would be making that statement with even greater conviction. Life is a series of swings and roundabouts. Understanding that their is never a constant or status quo in real life, will help you no end. Things change, no matter how long you have to wait.
And this barrage of doom and gloom via the media, are not immune to this in the least! When the bulls arrive, they will all be singing a very different tune and these bad times will appear like a really shitty nightmare that never happened. Everyone's pinon is meaningless. The only one worth anything at all to you, is your own. After all, you're the that actually pull the strings when it comes to your crypto accounts. So I say this...
"Don't buy into the current BS. Engage in decluttering you mind, in which way you wish. See this crypto winter through to the end and let's all and celebrate and enjoy what lies on the other side, together."

Thanks for the pep talk tho, we hear so much negativity, even within the crypto-community that sometimes it’s difficult to keep perspective & faith in our plans...

While price has gotten worst in terms of perception, fundamentals only continue to improve as transactions continue to be increasing among a broader population. As we have seen, markets can become irrational for longer than investors can HODL!
