It's no surprise anymore when people hear "Public Sector" They already have bad feelings about this even without experiencing it and this is because of the bad things they have heard but is all public sector bad? The answer is no!
Today, I will be sharing my experience between the public and private sectors but before I do that, I would like to explain in simple terms what the Public and Private sector means.
The public sector consists of government-owned institutions and services that serve the public, such as schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. It is funded by taxes and focuses on public welfare rather than profit.
The private sector, on the other hand, includes businesses and organizations owned by individuals or corporations. It operates for profit and drives economic growth through competition and innovation.
I know most people like the private sector because it seems a little faster and the reason is that almost everyone is going to the public sector side making the private sector less occupied.
I have been privileged to work and experience services rendered by both sectors and I would use one of the many social amenities that was provided which is the hospital.
I remember when my uncle was sick and he was meant to undergo an MRI scan which is one of the most important equipment a hospital should have but because of the cost of this machine, most private hospitals couldn't afford it and the ones who had it were requesting a very huge amount of money just to run the test.
We went to the public hospital and after registration and a little payment, the test was done and he was assigned a doctor. It was very simple. One thing my country is suffering from is bad leadership, if the leadership in the country is looking after the welfare of its citizens very well, the private sector wouldn't be rampant the way they are in the community.
There are many things the citizens are enjoying but because of the hardship in the country, many people fail to recognize this. In Lagos state where I live, public buses are more beneficial to the people of Lagos than the private bus. Even if there is traffic or an increase in fuel price, such a thing hardly affects the price of transport on the public side but every other private bus would have to increase the transport tariff.
Now I am not saying the private sector is not doing great, yes they are and have topped some governmental facilities but the provision that comes from the government sector far outclasses that of the private sector, just the bad leadership and mismanagement of funds has made a lot of things bad which has make people only see the public sector as the worst in the both side.

Provisions from the government that don't even reach the firms.
It is well
Both sectors have both advantages and disadvantages. But if one has more advantages, it far outweighs the other
Very true
Which one would you prefer
It depends on which sector and the cash. For example, in terms of education, I prefer the private sector anytime
Yeah
It depend on the sector tho
Right 👍
