Day 6 "Today's challenge is ..."

in #sc-v6 years ago

"Better to be patient than brave; it is better to dominate oneself than to conquer cities."
(Proverbs 16:32)

Hello Steemians, blessed day, I greet you @genesis2000. I just want to remind you that each blog is a challenge for you and me, even if it does not seem like it; because the purpose of this is that we can learn together and improve each day.

If the other challenges are difficult to do, this one even more, because it is about fighting with our inner self and if fighting against someone is difficult, we must fight with ourselves even more.

Today's challenge is:

Own domain

"As a city without defense and without walls, it is who does not know how to dominate."
(Proverbs 25:28)

One of the reasons why things do not go as we expect, is because when we have to do something, we end up doing the opposite.

Self-control is fundamental, not only for the life of a Christian, but also for those who want to live in a correct, orderly and focused way.

Self-control is general, but to be more specific, the challenge will consist of:

Master the language

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21)

What we say has a lot of power, but we usually talk about more bad things than good ones and that is a small mistake. We must bless instead of cursing

Gossip is one of the characteristics that defines NOT CONTROLLING THE LANGUAGE. We must stop with the gossip, they are things that only bring problems and do not benefit anyone ... Have self-control.

"But no one has been able to master the language, it is an evil that does not let itself be dominated and that is full of deadly poison." With the tongue, we bless our Lord and Father, who curse men created by God in his own image. Blessings and curses come from the same mouth Brothers, this should not be so. " ** (James 3: 8-10) **

Mastering the language is a great habit that we should all have.

Master thoughts

"Rather, I strike my body and dominate it, lest, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified." (1 Corinthians 9:27)

Our thoughts are key to everything, because it is our mind that works what we are going to do and say. Take good care of your thoughts, even if you do not put into practice what you have already thought there is something planted.

When you think things that you should not: PRAY and reprimand, lest it happen to your heart and bad feelings and desires arise that can lead you to ruin.

"For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love and self-control."
(2 Timothy 1: 7)

It is true that we live in the flesh and have desires, but God has called us to be Saints as he is. And how can we be saints without our own domain?

We live is constant tests to show how much dominance there is over ourselves.

Dear Steemians, we can achieve this, this challenge is for all those who want to live in a better way, when we let ourselves be carried away by our impulses and feelings, things will go wrong.

We must analyze, think, then act. There are things that do not suit you and having your own domain is choosing what you do not like but if it suits you, for example if you suffer from diabetes.

You know very well that you should not eat sweet or not in excess because it hurts you, that's why you must have self-control because that which hurts you can kill you.

What we do not know is that choosing what does not suit us but if we like it can also kill us or we can end up very badly.

To have dominion implies to sacrifice our comfort for our well-being and sanctity, remember that without holiness nobody will see the Father

You already know what the challenge of today is, so that we can put it into practice together from now on. It does not matter if you are reading this post a year later, the important thing is that you are reading it and nothing is coincidence. God wants us to have self-control and he is calling us.

¡GREETINGS TO ALL AND MANY BLESSINGS!

Romans 8:13 (KJV)
For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

The power to overcome the flesh is in keeping the commandments of God written in our mind and souls by the spirit of God.
