The year 2025 sure started with lots of energy and positive vibes for me, even after having a very exhausting December due to my kind of job as a fashion designer, December always comes with loads of orders expected to be delivered that same month, never the less, I still gathered enough strength to start the new year in several areas of my life, I also participated in the common new year ritual of writing and meditating on my new year goals actions I need to take to see these goals come to life, hence the lots of energy in January.
Last year, I did a lot of learning and unlearning in many areas of my life, some experiences almost broke me down, intending to make me give up but I made sure to learn from these experiences using them to build strength that can help me thrive in 2025. Putting my focus in the year 2025 in four words, I would say, Family, Finance/Business, Academics, and above all God first, I wasn't someone you would tag as religious, I'm not sure I would love to be given that tag still, but one thing is sure, my relationship with my maker as a Christian this year, was one of my top goals, making it stronger than ever before, this part of me gain consciousness after what I would term a miraculous experience, so I'm never taking this part for granted anymore, because I've found peace like never before in every area of my life putting God first.
Another goal for the year is to build up my finances, savings, income, manage my expenses wisely, etc This is one area I struggled a lot with in 2024, so I'm particularly very sensitive to this part, so far I've been doing the best I can to make sure I don't relapse on this goal, getting an upgrade in my sewing skills to facilitate more income, powering up on hive on random days as much as I can, still maintaining my daily active posting and engagement on hive, apart from my offline business, Hive has been a huge support to me and my family, and there is no way it wouldn't be a part of my goal focus in 2025.
Academics has been the easiest one so far, almost completing my current semester exams, just this month, and I'm super hopeful to have a good result, as I played my part in taking my studies serious, just one more exam to go, and I will be welcoming a new session.
The people we love the most are family so no matter how much hurt we get from them, we never give up on them, we pray, advice, and render a helping hand in times of despair. Family time is another part of me I'm intentionally making myself available for my children and other loved ones, the situation in my country has messed up having family time, especially for us parents, we choose our jobs over family most times because without working, how would we take care of them, not knowing our lack of physical presence especially for our children can put a strain to that connection that makes us family, I've been very conscious of not sacrificing that connection this month of January, in just one month, I've realized a lot I've been sacrificing and missing out on, my children feels more happy and open to share their thoughts, and I feel even happier not being away all the time, and hope I stay tr uh to this family goal through the year and beyond.
That's basically my goal and focus for January, starting early makes it easier as long as we are dedicated to our goal, it's only a matter of time before we see it getting accomplished.
