Practice makes a man perfect

This is a normal phrase that we have listned thousands of time since our childhood, and i have taken this phrase a little serious in my life.

That's why I try new things and practiced them in daily routine for getting perfection in that skill. Today i have decided to make still life sketch for practicing my sketching skill and making it little sharp.

So let's move towards the step by step Procedure...,

• Sketchbook
• 2B 4B graphite pencils
• Blenders
• Scale

Procedure

---

I have started making this sketch by first drawing a straight line and then made a book with 2B pencil.

After making book i have made a bottle on the other side of the book by making three equal line and then i have made a circle on the book for making the apple.

Later i have made the pencil on the book with a medium length and also made a pointed end of the pencil.

After making the sketch i have erased the extra lines and made a dark outlining on the rough sketch for starting the shading.

I have started shading in the sketch from the bottle which i have done with 4B pencil and then i have blended some of its shades to make it realistic.

After bottle i have moved towards shading the apple where again i have used 4 B pencil and made softer and lighter shades and also made a bolder shade under the apple as a shadow.

Then i have moved towards the shading of the book where i have tried to make bookcover little bolder and made the pages with normal soft shading. And also i have made shades on the pencil.

Lastly i have made some soft shading in the book and finished the sketch by making background with darker shades.
