There are less than 2 days left until the end of the season in Splinterlands and my card rentals are also ending, so I decided to spend the remaining Glint I can get on Loot Chests to try to get some energy and battle more often before the season ends.
I managed to accumulate only 14,256 Glint and that will be enough to open 14 Major Chests.
Each Major Chest costs 1,000 Glint and has the following drop chances:
- 33% chance of getting Reward Cards.
- 30.9% chance of getting Potions.
- 26% chance of getting Merits.
- 10% chance of getting Energy.
- 0.01% chance of getting Jackpot.
In my opinion, Major Chests are the best option to get energy because I can open them in large quantities. They may have less chances than the Ultimate Chest but the quantity makes up for it.
My initial goal this season was to open 300 Minor Chests, 150 Major Chests and 30 Ultimate Chests, but unfortunately my Glint gain wasn't big enough because I missed a few days of ranked battles, so far I've only managed to open 91 Major Chests and 10 Ultimate Chests.
Adding the 14 Major Chests that I'm going to open now, I'll have opened a total of 105 Major Chests and 10 Ultimate Chests this season. These will probably be all the Loot Chests that I'll be able to open this season and next season I'll change my strategy to be able to reach my goal of opening 300 Minor Chests, 150 Major Chests and 30 Ultimate Chests.
Now let's see how my luck is and if I'll get a good amount of energy or a jackpot from these Major Chests.
Unfortunately I didn't get any jackpots but I did get more energy than I expected so I can consider myself lucky.
My strategy for Loot Chests is to always use Alchemy Potions to increase my chances of getting Gold Foil cards, so I can burn them to get extra Glint and open more Loot Chests or Rarity Draws.
One of my main goals in Splinterlands is still to get my current collection of Reward cards to max level before a new set of Reward cards is released.
