If you love Splinterlands as much as I and the entire Hive community do, get ready because some exciting news is coming your way. Starting today, (February 27th), the new ranked battle season brings two major updates: a brand-new game mode and a revamped leaderboard rewards system. Let’s check it out in this post!
Survival Mode
In addition to the well-known Modern and Wild modes, we now have a new contender in the arena, the Survival Mode. And trust me, the name does justice to the challenge. Here, you can use any card from any collection, just like in Wild. Bots and assistants are also allowed. But there’s one game-changing detail:
Battles do not consume energy.
Oh, so I can play infinitely?
Not quite.
The catch is that if a card is defeated, it enters cooldown and cannot be used anywhere else until the cooldown time expires. This applies to everything Brawls, tLands, tournaments, ranked battles, and more. In other words, strategy is everything. Each loss can be costly, so choose your battles wisely.
Introducing Splinterlands Survival Mode
Want to know how long your cards will be on cooldown? Check out the Academy Panel in the Battle Lobby to see cooldown times by rarity and card type. And if you're already wondering, "What if I want to recover my cards faster?", stay tuned because in a future update, we'll have Revive Potions, according to the official post: Survival Mode & Leaderboard Rewards Update.
Leaderboard Updates
If, like me, you've ever complained that the leaderboards should be fairer and more rewarding, you can celebrate now because each league above Wood will have its own ranking. (Wait, wasn’t it already like that? I’m lost.)
Rewards have been expanded to the top 100 players in each league. Yes, you read that right. If you finish the season in the top 100, you’ll receive a sum of Glint.
So, how does this work?
At the beginning of each season, your leaderboard is determined by your initial rating after the reset. This means that no matter how high or low you climb during the season, you will always compete in the leaderboard of your starting league.
- At the beginning of the season, your rating resets and places you in the Silver league.
- You play, fight, grind, and reach a rating of 3100.
- At the end of the season, you remain in the Silver leaderboard and receive rewards for that league.
- A new season starts, your rating resets to 2600, and now you’re in the Gold league.
So, if you've ever dreamed of seeing your name etched in Splinterlands history, now’s the time to step up and fight for the top!

Here’s a breakdown of how much Glint each position will earn in each league. This information was taken from the official post, and it’s likely they will adjust these amounts in the future.

Além dos já conhecidos modos Modern e Wild, agora temos um novo desafiante na arena, o Survival Mode. E olha, o nome faz jus ao desafio, aqui, você pode usar qualquer carta de qualquer coleção, assim como em Wild. Bots e ajudantes também estão liberados. Mas tem um detalhe que muda tudo:
As batalhas não consomem energia.
Ah, então posso jogar infinitamente?
Mais ou menos.
O diferencial é que se uma carta for derrotada, ela entra em cooldown e não pode ser usada em nenhum outro lugar até o tempo de espera acabar. Isso vale para tudo Brawls, tLands, torneios, ranqueadas e outros. Ou seja, estratégia é tudo, cada derrota pode custar caro, então escolha bem suas batalhas.

Atualizações Leaderboards
Se você já reclamou assim como eu, que os leaderboards deviam ser mais justos e recompensadores, pode comemorar porque agora cada liga acima da Wood terá seu próprio ranking. (Mas isso já não era assim? Estou perdido).
As recompensas foram expandidas para os 100 melhores de cada liga, Sim, você não leu errado. Se você estiver entre os top 100 ao final da temporada, vai levar receber uma quantia de Glint.
Agora, como isso vai funcionar?
No início de cada temporada, seu leaderboard é definido pelo seu rating inicial, depois que o reset acontece. Isso significa que, independente de como você subir ou descer dentro da temporada, você sempre vai disputar no leaderboard da sua liga inicial.
- No início da temporada, seu rating reseta e te coloca na liga Prata.
- Você joga, luta, rala e sobe até um rating de 3100.
- No final da temporada, você se mantém no leaderboard da Prata e recebe recompensas dessa liga.
- Nova temporada começa, seu rating reseta para 2600 e agora você tá na liga Ouro.
