A month ago several people recommended me to try Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links, a video game available for cell phones and computers. After a trial period, I must admit that for me it has become very addictive and that's why I want to make my own review about this game of monsters duels.
My experience with video games of Yu Gi Oh! It is very little, I only knew the real card game, the one that was fashionable many years ago and all the children played with the cards. I practically had to go back 10 years in time to remember some things in the game.
Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links was launched in beta mode only 3 years ago on November 17, 2016, in Japan, after some tests it was finally released for the rest of the world on January 11, 2017. Created by the famous Konami company that all the lovers of video games we know very well for the development of exceptional video games. This videogame has the characteristic of being free-to-play, meaning that it can be played for free and is available for iOS, Android and Microsoft Windows 64bits through Steam exclusively (free).
This game is based on the successful anime series Yu Gi Oh! over time it has been renewed with different seasons and movies. Duel Links gathers until now the content of the first three generations, Yu Gi Oh !, Yu Gi Oh! GX and Yu Gi Oh! 5D's. We still do not know if Konami intends to add the content of the rest of the generations of Yu Gi Oh in the future.

Yu Gi Oh! Duel Links modifications compared to the original game
Each player starts with 4000 life points instead of 2000.
Duels have only four phases: the draw phase, the main phase, the battle phase, and the final phase.
The zone of monsters and magical /trap cards is reduced from 5 to 3 cards.
The size of the decks is reduced to a minimum of 20 cards and a maximum of 30. The extra deck reduced from 15 to 5 cards.

The cards can be obtained for free by playing and winning gems that are used to buy cards or investing real money that has the same function as gems. The experience will not be affected by a player who uses real money.
The characters of each generation have unique abilities that can be used in conjunction with custom decks in order to improve your game.
The game is divided into 3 generations, we can say that each generation is "one world" and each one has its own different missions and its own characters. So you can say that the content is quite extensive. The characters have a level system, the more level you can unlock the character's unique cards, skills, and other objects. The worlds of each generation can also be increased in level, with a system called '' phases '' while the phase is increasing in level, more characters of that generation can be unlocked.

You can make duels against fictional characters npc's that are around the map of the phase, which has random difficulty levels, you can also fight against the protagonists of the game but they can have more difficulty.
The game also has an online game mode. Competitions between players from around the world, you can make duels against other players in the world or against your friends.

This game has so much content that it is impossible for me to describe everything, but I can say that the experience I have had playing it has been very pleasant. I'm sure that Yu Gi Oh lovers will really appreciate this video game.

I played this game and I love it... I love how it doesn't make old card obsolete (unless you're playing multiplayer,) and how it makes the duels shorter compared to the real game! I didn't follow Yu-Gi-Oh after 5Ds so this game is refreshing!
It's 8000 in the real game not 2000. The version that used 2000LP was the early anime version but it also used different cards than the ones we know right now.
