I am so far behind on my posts, so this will be a quick one as I have heaps more to write about as I just got home from Brisbane but this is too exciting to bypass and Steem related so relevant.

Long story short, they arrived a few weeks back (insert me squealing with excitement here), however with everything going on in everyone's lives finding time to meet up was a challenge. Hence a quick coffee over @bmj's lunch break.
Last month: Special Delivery!!! 2018 STEEM SILVER ROUNDS Arrive in Western Australia
The special 2018 Steem Silver Round run was created by @sevinwilson and limited to 1500 coins. We were super lucky to receive number 26-30 along with others in the 700's range. @bmj was kind enough to ask us what number we prefer and as my hubby was calling out the numbers I was so excited to hear my birthday day number 29, I instantly picked that one, I had assumed it would have been 1029 or 1329 etc. so was extra pleased when I saw it was just 29 of 1500.
geocachingAs you can see they are pretty amazeballs, @shai-hulud and I love coins and have quite a collection of odd coins types, here are some of our ones we brought and haven't put into a cache cause we love them, the night one glows in the dark while the satellite one spins. We also have a ROT 13 decoder one but I couldn't find it this morning, it will be hidden in one of @shai-hulud's draws.

We do love the geocaching ones, we had more but have put them in caches already and we have found some awesome ones too all moved on around the world now.

Isn't geocaching great fun. I've done a bit of it myself - my brother in law loves it and got me into it a while back. I'm waiting for my son to get old enough to really like it. At the moment he's at the age where when we find one, he just wants to tale the entire cache home - doesn't quite get it yet!!
haha, I think our son would be at the same stage, we used to go most weekends but have fallen off of late due to other commitments, we do hope that our son will love it when he understands it. It's a great way to get out of the house and discover new places.
I like these rounds, been thinking I should get a few of them, I see the price for 5 oz,, but I don't see them for 1 0z...seen other steemit rounds for $20 over spot i think, seems high but still cool.

We brought this with Steem, I think we paid like 8 Steem when the Steem value was much higher, I have seen people selling them for $50 which is a bit steep but we would never sell it, it's the first official thing we brought with crypto and its too cool to trade :D

They are super cool and very shiny, you can't see it but there are little whales and dolphins and fish through the tree. I love it!

The far right geocoin is a Stargate from the TV series, @shai-hulud and I love that show, we both have tattoo's with the Stargate and earth symbols from it. Total geeks yes lol... I loved that I got 29 more cause it's my birthday then it's a low number but both makes it cool.
We brought ours for about 8 steem as the value was much higher when we purchased so its super cool we now own something brought with crypto all made through blogging. :D

Thanks, the geocoins are awesome, we have a larger collection than that but that was all I could find when I looked lol... They will be packed in boxes or drawers all over the house. lol..
Pretty cool to have these as a souvenir token, perhaps keeping it and it may one day become an antique with higher value?
You never know, the price of steem may skyrocket and the value may go up but either way, it is the first thing we have brought with crypto so we will be keeping it for the memories :D

I don't think that @o07 is from the West, so it would have been a long way for him to travel. I loved that it was a tree of life too, it's full of fish, dolphins and whales, super cool!

That is really cool! Someone (can't remember who, but they're in steemitbloggers) said they have a restaurant near them that takes payment in Steem. I imagine it's pretty awesome to exchange your rewards for something you can hold in your hand!

Oh man, I'm totally jealous! I am starting to look at buying a bit of silver and gold, a silver Steem round would have been an amazing start!
We have a bit of silver and loads of coins that have zero value but to us they have plenty, we were stocked that we could buy it with the crypto we had earned to date. It's worth more Steem than what we paid so that's cool if we take away the fact that steem has dropped lol...
Also if you are going to start a collection, start at the second hand/pawn shops they get heaps and sell for a good price.

Yep for reals, "they" Some awesome Steemian does up a run each year, we only have the 2018 one as missed 2017 due to joining in December, I hope to find one and add it to our collection one day as I am sure it would have been just as cool!

Although I haven't participated in a while, we used to go geocaching a lot. I would be very happy to have found some of those coins.

The geocoins are a play if forward thing if found in a cache, we brought these from a caching site and plan to add a few to caches and keep the Stargate one as we are Stargate geeks! We have found pleanty of geocoins to date and have moved them on to another cache or sometimes country cache if we were travelling, it makes travelling extra fun too as to find caches you need to go places you never normally would. I hope you get back into it, we need to too as we haven't been in a while, we now have a son who is a bit young to understand, but as soon as he can we will be back out in the thick of it.
I'm sure we will get back into it at some point. We even found some in Bahrain when we lived there. I haven't checked Romania but I bet there are some here too.

Only one, the one that brought me here lol. But aside from that, no I haven't. Feeling like I live too far from everyone, that I wouldn't get the chance to meet any. Most of the ones I know are from the States, Australia, well pretty much not in Canada. I have only met one Canadian so far on Discord.
@lynncoyle1 is canadian but she lives in Mexico atm haha. I live with the Steemian that brought me to steem. We have about 20 in perth. Many under the age of 18 lol.

That is cool that there are many in your area. I have been trying to get more people where I am from to join as well but that is hard to do. I tell them it is a lot better, way better than facebook. The connections are awesome, the contents are amazing, the authors are fabulous. I struggle with explaining crypto so I often leave that out.
