I am working on a plan to fully fund and pay for a family holiday in July next year with STEEM. These regular posts will update my progress.
Week 1.
The first week of my plan to save up enough STEEM to pay for a family holiday to Queensland has gone really well. Over the week I have put into savings 11.797 STEEM. This has been from my liquid payouts for the week, plus some put in from cloud mining payments and faucets. I am quite pleased with this for week 1 and have a base to build on. Aiming for 15 STEEM in week 2 so we will see how that goes.
Aside from that, I have been grinding out more HUNT tokens, and started earning AFIT tokens also. I am acumulating these and other tokens currently being given out in the hope that when they become an SMT, I will have the option to sell some to top up this holiday fund if need be. My Hunt token balance also grew thanks to a bonus for promoting Steemhunt of 600 tokens. My HUNT token total at the moment is just over 6,500 so hopefully they will have a value that makes this a benefit.
The best source of STEEM this week has come from Musing.io . The payouts from some of my first posts there have started to flow, and I have a few good sized payouts coming this week to help out. It really it a great place if you like to write and express yourself, and even someone without a single follower on Steemit can have an audience there.
So this week I have saved 11.797 STEEM. My target is $4,000 AUD which at current prices is 3571 STEEM. That means that at current prices I have 3,559 STEEM left to go by the end of June next year. No fiat put in this week, all the savings have been STEEM and crypto earnings.
Early days for this plan but feeling optimistic.
The Plan:
- Most of my liquid payouts from all STEEM activities will be put in savings. The only exception will be funds I use to buy SBI and incinboost shares. Any other crypto I can grind out (Cloud mining, faucets and so on) will also be converted to STEEM and put in savings.
- Regular Posts (at least weekly) about my progress.
- Any fiat I can spare will be put into STEEM and saved as well.
Recent Steem Powered Holiday posts from me:
- Post 1 launched my ambitious goal.
- Post 2 was looking at the task ahead.
- Post 3 Took a look at the money side of this.
The Goal:
- AUD $4,000 worth of STEEM - at the time I started this it was 3,669 STEEM
- Currently (based on todays AUD - STEEM price) it is 3,571 STEEM
When?
- July 2019.
What can you do to help?
- I definitely DO NOT want donations. Absolutely not, there are far more important causes to donate to than my holiday fund.
- Up-votes and/or resteems on these posts will help a lot.
- Encouragement is awesome and will motivate me to make sure this happens.
- These posts will all be put up with an Ad powered by @dclick at the bottom. (Below the TeamAustralia banner.) Clicking on these Ad's will help me out also, and won't cost you anything.
- Cheer me on.
Stay tuned for more updates about my STEEM Powered holiday, and have a great day.
Cheers,
John.

Musing is awesome. I made 20 Steem there the other day. Very happy with that result. Good progress mate. Keep it up.
Musing is the bomb at the moment. I love that it doesn't matter if you have 10 SP and 2 followers or 1,000,000 SP and 10,000 followers, your answer is judged on its merits only. 20 steem for a day is awesome, well done. How's the new job going? Settling in ok?

Still finding my feet but the job is going well. It’s a weird feeling being back on the mines but a good feeling as well.
