In Venezuela, cities go to bed early. A severe crisis in all aspects could be the main reason.
Of course, everyone goes home early because most businesses close by ten at night, just when the night is starting in big cities.
There are many reasons: insecurity, the lack of permanent commercial activity, and also the lack of money among citizens.
However, and this might seem trivial on my part, the only positive thing I see is that sometimes I like seeing the city alone, because it rests from the hustle and bustle of the day.

En Venezuela las ciudades se acuestan a dormir temprano. Pues una dura crisis en todos sus aspectos podría ser la razón principal.
Y claro… todos van a sus casas temprano porque la mayoría de los negocios cierran a partir de las diez de la noche, cuando en las grandes ciudades apenas la noche comienza.
Motivos hay muchos, la inseguridad, la falta de actividad comercial permanente y también la falta de dinero por parte de los ciudadanos.
Sin embargo, y esto me parece muy banal de mi parte, pero lo único que veo positivo de esto, es que a veces me gusta ver la ciudad sola, porque descansa del bullicio y el desorden del día.
It's been a long time since I've walked the streets of Valencia at night, but it's true that when it's night it's very quiet, mysterious and beautiful.
