Hello my Hivers friends, I hope your days are going well. I want to tell you that my weekend from Friday to Sunday has been very busy; in general all these days. Life has so many moments where we must be so aware of every detail to enjoy them; there are small details that make the difference and they also need to be appreciated and see their value.
One of the things I enjoy is being able to make my family happy and pamper them, whether with a lot or a little, but being able to make them smile and feel good fills my heart. I took the opportunity to buy a fish service with salad, rice and yuca for my two little girls. I didn't have much money in my bank account. I live in Venezuela and, like everyone around the world, through the news and media of all kinds, they know the economic situation of this country, which is tight; therefore, that service would be half and half for both of them. They enjoyed it very much and were happy because it was a detail "with love from mom" as they say. In addition to completing this plate of fito fish with homemade Chinese rice that I had prepared early for lunch.
I'll start by telling you that although I haven't had any outings or fun trips like some of you have, where I delight in all those beautiful places you visit, I really enjoy every photo you share; the warmth of my home embraces me to enjoy family time. This weekend has been summed up in the "kitchen", I think it's the space where wonderful things happen in houses, where the best conversation topics arise, where we share at the table and where we even get creative to lovingly pamper our loved ones with some preparation; as was the case with my girls as well, who wanted to pamper their grandparents, my brother and me (their mom) with some cookies made by them in the company and supervision of their grandmother.
Regarding the cookies, they were very creative since they did not have wheat flour to make them, so they substituted it with corn flour, which gave them a touch like the traditional powdery cookies of my country (Venezuela) and Colombia as well. To this was added a delicious, very cold three-in-one juice (beet, carrot and lemon, since we did not have an orange). I enjoyed so much the tender and loving gesture of the afternoon of my little ones together with their grandmother who guided them in the preparations. Without a doubt, there is nothing like the warmth of home, of a loving and united family.
In addition to this, the weekend was full of joy and color because Christmas has arrived at our house! Maybe many will say... but so soon? Well yes! We don't wait for December to arrive, which goes by so quickly, but we take advantage of the months of September, October, November and December to enjoy it as much as we can. The Christmas tree is already set up, decorated this year in a different and very tender way with my girls' stuffed animals; now we only have to put together the Nativity scene and the rest of the arrangements in commemoration of the December dates. Between Christmas carols and Zulian bagpipes it was the perfect combination to get us set up with the decorations. I'm going to leave you a video closing this content of those typical bagpipes that sound in my region in December and form the party.
The rest of the weekend, before going to the place where we were going to be, I took advantage of having them play a little in the park next to our house and taking some nice photos for the memories, since the little ones grow so fast that we have to take advantage of this childhood stage with them. We were supporting each other, I was supporting my girls in their dances and they were supporting me in the activities of taking the gospel to the streets.
I close this content with the promise of the Zulian gaita that I had previously mentioned to share with you and it was already a debt to you; as well as with the following phrase:
Always radiate love into the life of everyone around you.
The photographs are my own, taken with my iPhone 7 Plus cell phone, and from my friends at White Media.
