This past week was challenging at work as the company owners decided to venture in another line of business. As our department was in charge of securing business permits all of us were kind of at rush. Not to mention some supporting documents aren't enough or rather aren't updated to obtain what we needed to secure. So I spend most of the time coordinating with our legal group for drafts of some documents such as Board resolutions and Secretary certificates. Then, to the Board of Directors. Instructing the point of contact at the Store what to answer in possible questions and explain each document. Glad, after several revisions we finally obtain the Certificate of Business Registration at from BIR.
With the good news received, our Department head was glad (she is always like that) and says we should go out after work for a dinner treat.
As I mentioned in my several blogs, there is a nearest mall; walking distance from our office. Since I need to buy some personal stuff, I found them already enjoying, eating and drinking after.
Starving, I ordered a grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. Then on my right saw the glass of margarita my officemate was drinking!
It looks so inviting especially in times like this, going out to have fun, to socialize.
As much as I wanted to have a glass, I couldn't. Alcohol is not good for pregnancy!
Instead, I asked for a glass of water and a mango smoothie. At least I had something in my hand during the toast.
Opss, that beer in front isn't mine, lol! Well, it's not actually me who isn't drinking. I mean alcohol but also this lady on my front due to health reasons. Still the night went well and I tried my best to hold myself from laughing so hard! A didn't know that this stage of pregnancy laughing too much could trigger pee 🤣.
It was just, our table was in front of the bar and seeing the bartender mixed drinks? Oh, it makes me badly want to have a glass 😁.
And how many bottles could you manage Sir? Just make sure you can still walk straight later 🤣.
Since the start of the year, this is the first time we hang out. I mean me going out with them. Been in a daily routine of work and home. Yet, now I am more confident to go out as I am almost at the end of second trimester.
Not only that, but our group leader feels hesitant to ask me unlike before. She said that it would make her think if I safely got home 😆. Before it was easy to go out, have some drinks and go home slightly tipsy.
Well, at times, alcohol added joy during socializing. Well maybe it was because a few glasses, bottle or zip could take that shyness. It makes us feel relax, at ease. Yet, if you ask me if it was really necessary?
My answer is not really. In a group, a circle of our friends and colleagues there are some who couldn't take alcohol due to many reasons. That leaves us with no choice but to respect it. Conversations could still goes well, the fun won't be ruin.
Hello fellow Hivers! Happy Weekend and hope so you have a blast. This weekend, here is my entry in @Galenkp WE - WEEK 198.
Do you feel a person needs to drink alcohol to have a good time in a social setting? Explain your answer. Remember to use your own photos.
