The forbidden is tempting to say; No to drugs, is to encourage their consumption.

Since the beginning of existence especially for Western culture, you have not said that the forbidden is tempting, let's see; from the Bible when Adam is prohibited from consuming the forbidden fruit. It seems as if the forbidden is covered with an aura of attraction. In the end it is an almost natural manifestation, that we have people for killing curiosity and for conquering freedom.

Our condition is to say; humans. It puts us in a halo of freedom to consume those of which we are being denied. Be it any consumer milestone. Example of it; If you have a pantry full of beautiful and rich chocolates, and you tell the child you can eat all but this one, the child will do everything possible to eat that precisely that is being denied.

More addicted will you be!

All human societies consume some substance of those that today we call drugs. They mostly come from traditional cultures. Some are alcohol, coffee, chocolate, coca, hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana, opium, tobacco.

The imbrication of drugs in the most subtle and varied presentations meant a level of consciousness, to communicate with gods or spirits, as a divine symbol. In many societies especially during the beginning of the middle ages, these psychotropic substances were used to communicate with the gods, this was a way to achieve the climax necessary to do so. It was in the twentieth century that some substances were banned, creating a big business. It is an enigma but this is the history of human society.

Marijuana was legal.

Many serious studies have shown that marijuana is much less harmful than tobacco consumption and that its social consequences are significantly less negative than those of alcohol consumption. But, what happened then because "satanism in its consumption?

In 1906, in the District of Columbia, was the first of many with the regulation around the cultivation of this plant, called cannavis. Then many more states followed, however it was not until 1936 that the United States created a treaty to criminalize any activity related to marijuana, coca, and opium (including its cultivation, production, manufacturing, and distribution) from that moment began to say the war against drugs that still continues to this day.

Before entering into total war against this plant let's see what was its use:

  • Hemp was essential for navigation for centuries since the ropes that were used in this practice were of this material.

  • Clothes and fabrics in general were made from this plant.

  • The hemp paper was used to write in fact before 1830 school texts were written based on this paper.

  • The first maps, bibles and even the American constitution were printed with hemp paper.

The two main men responsible for the worldwide ban on marijuana were named Harry J. Anslinger and William Randolph Hearst. Before 1933 Harry J. Anslinger had nothing against marijuana, but alcohol, however when alcohol began to be consumed again under some criteria, the United States created a substance department that realized that it had nothing to pursue, Anslinger immediately set out to warn the population about the effects of cannabis: first it will make you delirious with madness, then you will suffer hallucinations or erotic dreams, before finally reaching the inevitable destination: dementia.

  • Marijuana is the drug that has caused more violence in the history of mankind.

  • The joints make the niggers believe they are like the white man.

Then, through the tabloid press, he was in charge of searching for information, collecting news to give his statements much more power. This caused the American society to have a contempt for the consumption of Cannabis.

Cocaine.
However, the development of new substances such as cocaine, especially in the 80s to the present, has made it a multi-million dollar business. Cocaine is an extremely addictive stimulant that directly affects the brain. Cocaine has been called the drug of the eighties and nineties because of its great popularity and widespread use in those decades.

The "Just Say No" anti-drug campaign began in 1982 and quickly became its most emblematic initiative, praised and criticized by many.

Well, thanks to that huge advertising campaign, I create the base for millions of young people to feel curious, because they were bombarded by something they practically did not know, this has led to the creation of large drug cartels with multimillion-dollar profits.

The forbidden is tempting and everything is business being in the prohibition. It should be noted Are we on the right track?
