Today is the day to increase my Chaos Legion card collection in Splinterlands and to do so I will buy and open Chaos Legion packs.
Since I started playing Splinterlands again, one of my main goals in the game is to build a card collection so that I don't have to spend money on rent. After checking out the market, I came to the conclusion that my card set to start with is the Chaos Legion edition because this is the cheapest edition in Splinterlands and because the cards in this edition are very useful and powerful.
To increase my Chaos Legion card collection in Splinterlands I have 2 options:
Buy the cards on the market.
Buy and open Chaos Legion packs.
The option to buy cards on the market is the best because I won't have to rely on luck and I can select the cards I want to buy, so with this option I can perfectly calculate how much I would need to spend to get all my cards to the maximum level, but I like opening packs because I think it's fun and because I have the hope that at some point I will be lucky enough to get a Gold Foil legendary card.
Today I'm going to choose the option to open packs so I went to Hive Engine and bought 3 Chaos Legion packs for the price of 1.19 Swap.Hive each, in total I paid 3.59 Swap.Hive for the 3 packs.
After buying the packs I just need to transfer them to my Splinterlands account, this is a very easy and quick process.
There you go, now I have the 3 packs in my Splinterlands account and I just need to open them to receive my cards.
- Each Chaos Legion pack has 5 cards and at least 1 of them is of Rare rarity or higher.
To increase my chances of getting Legendary cards and Gold Foil cards, I will use Alchemy potions and Legendary potions when opening the packs.
Legendary Potions - This potion increases my chances of getting Legendary cards in the packs.
Alchemy Potion - This potion increases my chances of getting Gold Foil cards in the packs.
Each card consumes 1 potion of each, so I will need 15 Legendary potions and 15 Alchemy potions when opening the packs.
I already have all the preparations, so it's time to open my 3 Chaos Legion packs and see if I'll be lucky enough to get valuable and useful cards for my card collection in Splinterlands.
Unfortunately I can't consider myself lucky because I didn't get any legendary cards or any Gold Foil cards so this pack opening was probably a loss for me.
It seems I was right and the total value I got in the cards by opening the 3 Chaos Legion packs is $0.31 and that means I had a loss because I paid $0.37 for each pack so the total value of the 3 packs was $1.11.
My loss was $0.80 in this pack opening and it seems I've been unlucky recently because all the packs I opened this month gave me a loss, but I still like opening packs because I find it fun and my main focus is to buy cards on the market so I only open small amounts of packs to try my luck.
