Although I have to tell you that I dropped one of my earbuds and a bus coming behind me smashed it to a pulp... yes, I know. You're going to scold me for that. Well, I had them at the right volume so that I could hear everything around me and I felt like listening to music. Bad luck... I hit a pothole and it popped out of my ear and bam... it was like that:
Don't laugh....😂 well, yes, laugh. This was when I was one block away from entering my neighbourhood. It seems it was his destiny.
However, that didn't hurt me that much. I guess it did for him, poor fellow.
Today I think I must have cycled about 32 km. The cyclocomputer says so. And in total distance I seem to be accumulating about 44 km. It's quite little because I haven't really been out for a long time. I don't know what was wrong with me, but I wasn't in the mood.
And it turned out that today what I had was an attack of courage and well... necessity. I went to a private dentist recommended to me by a friend because while eating guava I had fractured a filling in a tooth.
When I got there the electricity went out... and I was really glad because I didn't get a good feeling about the place or the person who was going to assist me.

As I'm very intuitive, I turned around and ended up in a park thinking I don't know what.
It was a makeshift park in a green area with coconut and other trees that provided plenty of shade. Some benches are placed in such a way that whoever uses them has a view of the sea. Also many pigeons kept me company.
I guess I didn't think much of it sitting there in that park. There was silence, I concentrated a little bit on feeling that silence, but I didn't really find much peace because it was so lonely and I saw some men hanging around, so I was also watching their movements. As soon as I saw them start walking towards me, I got up and left. How bad it is to live with that anxiety.
I think that is precisely what brought me to the church of Jesus of Miramar. It was relatively close by and I went there to relax, because that's what I was looking for and I hadn't quite got it. However, I was happy in a general way. Cycling is my medicine.
It is a neo-Romanesque-Byzantine style church. As a curious fact, it has an organ made of 5000 pipes, which is the biggest in Cuba. In its gardens there is a copy of the Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. You will see it below in a photo I took.
I was there for a while and I didn't really take that many photos, you'll have to excuse me. It's just that I was trying to quiet my mind.
I spoke to an altar boy who was in the garden taking photos with his mobile phone. I thought that was very nice and he was not Cuban, he spoke good Spanish but I felt that his mother tongue was Portuguese, because of his accent.

Everyone who enters this church is amazed by the number of murals. Beautiful, wonderfully painted and of great size. I have to come back to bring you better quality photos... but above all because I like it there. It is an atmosphere that does me a lot of good.
When I returned home, before going up the steep street which is 70, but with this bike I don't even have to make much effort, I found... guess what? 😃

I had to stand on the 19th street divider, very close to 70th street, to take this two pictures.
And then the return was very calm... the butterflies are also very good for me. Note that I didn't even bother about the smashed earbud that happened a little later after pedalling to 100 and 51, and then all the way to 100, passing through the highway that goes to Pinar del Río in the west of the island... anyway, I found my house in the dark.
My neighbours informed me that the electricity had been cut off since 4 o'clock. I arrived at about 5:30, almost 6 o'clock. I didn't even have the rechargeable lamps charged, but fortunately they put the electricity back on fairly soon.
I had a snack, drank a beer too, sang out loud ‘Como una ola’ (Like a wave) when I saw that my mother had published a post. Hahaha... 😄
And I made a phone call to make an appointment with another stomatologist.
Everything will work out. It can't be tomorrow because he can't, there's a scheduled power cut on Thursday so neither can it be and Friday I'll be in a dentist's chair at 9am... fainted... hahahaha....

Oh, too bad for the earplug. My ears can't hold those as well. They constantly drop out of my ears. Especially when sweating. Good to see you enjoy your new gadget though!
Ahhh... I couldn't remember what to call those little things yesterday. 😄 Earbud, earplug. Well, the one on the left side always fell off. That was the unlucky one. I still have the one on the right side. Hahaha...

It's true that they are earbuds and not headphones... Well, I was using them inappropriately because the left one was always popping out of my ear. Now I only have the one on the right side... It seems that in the future I will have better ones ;)

What a great ride despite the poor ear bud buddy and not getting your tooth fixed. I imagine for you it was good to get back on the seat and do what you enjoy. I had a bit of pain in that tooth, especially when I dropped something cold or chewed on that side, but amazingly after cycling it disappeared completely. That problem will be solved on Friday. I know what the explanation is. I released tension and didn't let anything, not even what happened to my friend earbud, affect me.
