I know nowadays you're supposed to TRY to live more in the moment, and less on your phones and electronics.
But at steemfest, I'm not sure if I like that advice.
Looking back on my pictures (or lack of them) kind of makes me sad that I lived too much in the moment.
Quick tip: When you're at a conference for blogging, you should PROBABLY take pictures/ video so you can blog about it.
Sorry I haven't posted in forever. That's VERY unlike me.
Before steemfest, I posted every single day for 7 months straight.
But, I flew into Bangkok and immediately slept for 19 straight hours.
Had to catch up on work for my job, and now I'm trying to catch up on steemit stuff.
I'll write a post all about my steemfest thoughts later... I suspect you'll be sick of hearing me talk about it soon enough!
So for now, I'll let some of the pictures that I do have do all of the talking.

... because my voice is basically gone after talking so much this past week 😆.
I almost freaked out and had breathing problems again on the way to Asia, but this time it would have been purely psychological PTSD syndromes from what happened on the way to steemfest.
Thankfully, @luzcypher and @world-travel-pro were there to hug me, hold my hands, and talk me off a ledge.
I'm sure @teamsteem would have helped, also...
...but I have no idea where he was and apparently, he fell asleep right away on the plane, anyway.
Then, @luzypher went to sleep, like any smart person would do...
...but I was still being a big fat baby, so @world-travel-pro talked to me a longgg time and was nice enough to let me help him improve his tinder profile. 🔥 I guess that makes him kind of a hero. Maybe that should go on his tinder app, haha.
If any traveling cryptobabes are reading this...
...you should check him out. Literally haha.

Anyway, peanut butter picture time!
^^ One of my favorite steemfest moments. It never would have happened if Poland didn't have such crappy pre-packaged pretzel sticks.
Or, as I like to call them, "Flavorless chemical sticks of disappointment."
A crazy contest idea was born right before this picture...which you guys will soon be seeing. It will be hosted by all of the cool kids you see here: @vikonomics , @blewitt, @celestal and @nomadicsoul (me).
No, @celestal doesn't always look so angry. He only looks angry and grumpy when taking pictures lol.
I better counteract that with a smile that could win over an entire room!
This is @aggroed, and his smile is freaking contagious. Don't you feel happy just looking at it?!? Seriously, his smile stands out in a crowd. Not only is his smile beyond amazing, he's the best dad on the planet. I found out he created 2 of the steem monsters cards specially for his daughters!

That pretty much seals the deal that steem monsters is even cooler than you previously imagined. Stay tuned to hear more about that story.
When you're at steemfest, your throat gets pretty dry. So you need to get @daveonarrival to be your sidekick and just grab an entire pitcher of water when nobody is looking. Just a glass of water won't do the trick. REAL steemians need an entire pitcher. Cheers, Dave. Even though the liquid/sweater babies are gone now, this memory lives on.
All that water made something AMAZING grow out of the top of my shirt! @steemmonsters cards! It's the strangest mutation. Nobody had ever seen it before!
@bubke and @bimjer were the first ones to spot this strange anomoly!!!
@soyrosa was the next one to spot it, and immediately said, "I want to grab your boobies right now."
And @elizacheng, who was nice enough to capture this moment, said, "Oh good, I'm not the only one that's attracted to them." 😆
I died laughing a little bit.
Here we go from laughing to the doctor in Krakow. Ok, so I'm still smiling. But I promise it's not at @anomadsoul's pain.
It's mostly at the fact that it's super weird that TWO Nomad Souls were at Steemfest, in Krakow, Poland, AND had to go to the doctor on the same day.

@jarvie at the restaurant we were going to eat at with a group of steemians. "Going to" because that was restaurant number 2 we got rejected from.
Guess we were just too steemy for them to handle!
Jarvie stayed zen about it, though, as you can see.
In some venues at steemfest, the lighting was kind of dark. So my pictures suck a little. Ok, so I can't really blame the lighting. It's definitely user error. But even though this one is blurry, I like it so much because we're all laughing in the moment.
Capturing candids is my favorite. Thanks, @hr1 and @guchtere for making this picture suck less with your genuine laughter and funny facial expressions.
This one is from karaoke night. @connecteconomy @misslasvegas @future24 @datristan and I had a blast.

I don't really believe that not taking pics is necessarily a bad thing tho... I'd rather be "in the moment" so to speak than spend all my time in the camera (although for some that is being in the moment i guess). For me the emotional quality attached to the moments/ppl is the stronger attachment than looking back on pictures or videos for nostalgia. Pics and videos are mostly to appease the narcissist in me half the time anyway lol.
Tell @world-travel-pro that we'll be "auctioning off" @koreanoperah in an upcoming "In Bed with the SteemBirds" interview. She's got the whole crypto-babe package and is apparently looking for a "steem-hunk" ;)

If it weren’t for your complete lack of care or concern for pretty much anything , leading you to basically “tell all” about...well...you...and a sleeping baby, we would not ya r firmed this bond. I do not believe in fate. I think things just happen but I’m glad that weird series of events took place leading us here.

i think we need a checky plugin to now BEFORE we publish if the username is correct.
I intended to create one but ended up deciding against it. As stated in one of my update posts for @checky, I'd rather see mention checking being added to the @steem-plus add-on rather than it being a separate add-on. Besides, I want to move on to other projects (not only Steem related) now that @checky is what I wanted it to become. The best would be for Steem apps to have mention checkers in their editors rather than having to rely on add-ons. Then I would just have to set @checky to ignore posts coming from apps that already have a mention checker.
However, if someone wants to make an add-on that checks mentions, go for it ! You can even copy and paste any part of @checky's code if you want, I don't mind.
Would be an interesting feature for @partiko - but thx for your work! Steem on!

It’s so funny I was just thinking that. Everyone is always like “live in the moment! Blah blah!!” Its almost like a reverse cliche now where we have ev (dev) olved to living TOO much in the moment and should all start taking more photos of our experiences again and live LESS in the moment. Or maybe thats just me lol

Yeah, two nomads had to go to the doctor on the same day and the day before a future nomad was in an ambulance getting checked for serious injuries. WHAT a week! But hey, now we're forever connected.
