Hello Hivians, how are you all doing today?

They usually say that A Lazy man is a Devils workshop but then too much busy man is also a body and soul destroyer.
Many a time people suffer and smile in their work place, they are working their ass off but the company they are suffering and working for usually do little or nothing to appreciate the dedication and Hard work of their Employment.

This is so disheartening because right now , I mean in this present economy where cost of living is now killing the living and inflation has now been the new Normal, many people working in Nigeria are underpaid and unhappy. I believe most of the time workers just don't have any choice or they want to keep thier hands busy.

I was formerly working as a sale manager before, trust me, sales work can be very stressful.

I'll never forget the day I hit rock bottom. I was exhausted, drained, and felt like I was drowning in a sea of responsibilities.
The company as usual will give us some overwhelming targets to meet, I have to reach out to more than 100 people per day through, before I could reach out to 40 per persons that fateful day,I was super stressed, I slept off during work and the sound of my friend that woke me up, I slept from morning to Evening, it was such a massive Burnout.
I had been running on empty for months, and my body and mind were screaming for mercy.

As I sat at my desk, staring blankly at my computer screen, I realized that I had lost myself in the process of trying to keep up. I was a shell of my former self, and it was scary.

Looking back, I can see that I was exhibiting all the classic signs of burnout:
Chronic fatigue and exhaustion,Cynicism and detachment from work and others, Reduced productivity and performance it Increased irritability and mood swings
The last Physical symptoms are headaches, stomach problems, and insomnia.

But at the time, I didn't recognize them. I just thought I was being lazy or weak.

My Journey to Recovery

It took a wake-up call from a friend to make me realize that I needed to take care of myself. She told me that I seemed distant and unhappy, and that she was worried about me.

That conversation was the catalyst for change. I started by taking small steps:
First off, I took a break from work and went on a weekend getaway, I also started practicing yoga and meditation to reduce stress, finally I set boundaries at work and learned to say no
I also reconnected with friends and family.

It wasn't easy, and it took time. But slowly, I started to feel like myself again.

Lessons Learned

Looking back, I've learned some valuable lessons about Work burnout and self-care:

Burnout doesn't count As being Hardworking:you need to ensure It's okay to take a break and then prioritize your well-being.

Self-care is not selfish Taking care of yourself is essential to being productive and happy.
Boundaries are essential Learning to say no and set healthy boundaries is crucial to maintaining your well-being.

Conclusion

If you're struggling with Work burnout, find time to get some free time to really rest.
