Good morning all parishioners of @steemchurch. I bring greetings to @sirknight,the man behind Steemchurch all over Nigeria,Ghana and Venezuela. This morning,I would love to take my scripture from Psalm 1:1-6,
BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,nor standeth in the way of sinners,nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,that bringeth forth fruit in his season;his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so:but are like chaff which the wind driveth away
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous:but the way of the ungodly shall perish

In this text,it is all about the ungodly,, who are the ungodly? They are those who are not of God,,those that does not practice the way of God,,,do not obey His commandments. Anyone that is not walking in the path of righteousness is an ungodly soul. If you are in sin,and not going by the law of the Lord,you are ungodly. If you are worshipping another god except God, you are ungodly. If you are not holy and pure,so you are an ungodly fellow. God wants everyone of His creature to be holy just as He is holy so we can benefits from all His blessings. Abraham was holy before God,that was why he was the father of all nations,and was blessed beyond measure.
God wants all of us to enjoy His benefits by staying away from sin,that was why He sent His only begotten son to die for our sins and thereby washing away all our iniquities.
In verse 1, the Bible is saying anyone who is not found among the sinners,, those against God, when you don't mingle with them or associate yourself with worldly things they are doing,you will be blessed because God only blesses His own children that does His will.
In verse 2,God will be happy with such person who refuses to follow the steps of the ungodly people,,even though they call you to dine with them,your response should be no,,by so doing,whatever you do,,God will be happy and will always meet your needs
In verse 3, As a tree is planted by the river that never runs dry,such fellow will never be dry in whatever things he does,either in his home or business. All what he does,will always flourish and never runs dry.
Whatever you are doing that doesn't bring glory to the name of God is ungodly,,you need to stay away from it and turn a new leaf so that you can enjoy all benefits in His house. All our ways,God knows,so if you think He doesn't sees you,it is a lie.. An ungodly cannot receive something good from God rather curse from Him. Any practice you are indulging in such as killing,unforgiving heart,stealing,fornication,adultery and others are ungodly,,,desist from them and be godly and God will be pleased with you and blessings in Psalm 1:1-3 shall be yours.
