Today all my people to survive we have learned to do magic, because we do not have many options to feed ourselves and these can be scarce, prices do not help, since inflation is rampant, the financial system is unsustainable, so we must be prepared so that you can not receive your salary, because there is no cash or electricity to collect.
For me it is being unbearable the frequent fall of the national electrical system, that implies that we can be without electricity for 72 90 hours, Havana being the capital is privileged.
I am honest and here the preparation has to be psychological in the first place, because you do not only solve with lamps, chargers and even having a plant, because as the affectation is general they do not pump the water and if you do not have gas you have a very bad situation, especially when there are children, elderly and sick people.
You can have containers of water that if it takes more than a week you go into crisis, then you have to try to pay at any price a water pipe, for cooking you have to use coal as an alternative.
Solidarity in the neighborhood is important, I have lived in this place for more than 40 years and so have many of my neighbors, we support each other and we are surviving the blow.
I cannot fail to mention the support of family and friends outside the country, who send remittances of money, food and clothing combo, there is even a payment gateway to pay for electricity from abroad..
In particular, it is shameful for me, that is why many of us retirees work and try to at least have money to buy medicines in the informal market at high prices.

We cannot be surprised to see old people or people with physical limitations, selling nylon bags or doing anything to live.
In short, resilience is continuous, we try not to lose the joy and solidarity, because it is what we have left, given that the health, education, sports and social assistance systems leave much to be desired.
I confess that I had the idea of telling you about a dream day at the beach in Varadero, because my son came to visit from the United States, with the purpose of giving us family and friends a great joy.
But nothing, I was relaxing writing, because I had a blackout today from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Thanks for putting up with me.
