Emotions, emotions, emotions. We all feel them and yet they are such a mystery to us.
Sometimes we like to feel them, and sometimes we don’t. We think that we don’t have any control over them. But is that really true?
We tend to emotionally react to what is happening around us. Many times that brings us joy and happiness, but when we have a negative emotional response, to whatever is happening around us, that make us angry or sad.
If we understand why do we feel emotions and what they are telling us, they make a lot of sense and they become a useful tool to guide us through life.
They are not meant to hurt us. They are simply the indicators of our connection with our Inner Being.
For example, if something makes us feel good, like a thought or an action, it means that our Inner Being is in agreement with it. But if the thought that we are thinking or an action we are proceeding, doesn’t feel good, it means that our Inner Being doesn’t agree with it.
Why is that important?
Because our Inner being knows what we want in our life, and it guides us toward it.
So when you feel good, it means you are on the path to whatever you want. But when you feel bad, it means your Inner Being is giving you signals, that you made a little turn away from what you want to create.
Let me tell you an easy example from my life...
I want my body to stay healthy and fit. I also like to eat chocolate and chips.
My Inner Being knows my desire to have a healthy and fit body. So when I eat too much chocolate and chips, I don’t feel good, because it is not in agreement with my Inner Being who knows my desire to be healthy and fit. And my Inner Being knows that I believe that chocolate and chips will not make me healthy and fit.
But I have to tell you that everyone is different. We have different beliefs about how to stay healthy. If you believe that chocolate can make you healthy, your Inner Being will agree with that, and you will not feel bad while eating chocolate.
Everyone should listen to their own emotional guidance system.
Yea, I call it guidance system. I know it is a bit complicated at first, but if you gradually become more aware of your emotions, and you try to guide your thoughts and actions toward good feeling thoughts and actions, I promise you, your life will get better and happier, and you will be more satisfied in your life then ever :)
