On Sunday 9th March 1857, General John Heirs was resting in his bank on that day that a lieutenant came running around the place and said that there was a riot in the country line. Seeing the condition of his injured lieutenant with his blood clot, General John Hirsche ran towards the parade ground of the regiment of the 34th Desh infantry with his two sons. On the other hand, the 34th domestic paramilitary jawan wearing a dhoti-jacket, Mangal Pandey, barefoot, was carrying a loaded shotgun in front of the Quattro Guards in front of a large fire and was resisting his companions - "Hey! When will you leave now Why are not you getting ready so far? These British people will corrupt our religion. Come on, all follow me. We finish them now. "But no one has given up with him. But Mangal Pandey did not give up, and alone, he used to challenge the British rule. Then English Sergeant Major James Thornton Husson ordered Mangal Pandey to be arrested. This hearing started the blood of Mangal Pandey and his shotgun was inundated. Sergeant Major Hugon rolled down there. Seeing this situation of his partner, Lieutenant Adjutant Bempade riding on horseback goes to Henry Vogue Mangal Pandey, but before he could control it, Mangal Pandey shot him on. Unfortunately the bullet got on the horse, and Vog got down on the slopes. Now both were face-to-face In the meantime, Mangal Pandey took out his sword, and after waking up the eyelid, Vog left the chest and shoulder. By then, General Jan Hirsch reached the parade ground on horseback and was shocked to see this scene. General Hirsay ordered Jamadar Ishwari Prasad to arrest Mangal Pandey immediately, but he refused to do so. Then General Hirsch ordered Sheikh Paltu to arrest Mangal Pandey. Sheikh Paltu caught Mangal Pandey from behind. The situation was terrifying. Mangal Pandey deemed it better to embrace better death than being arrested and kept the gun nose on his chest with a toe of fire. But there was something else to be accepted, so Mangal Pandey was left only injured. Immediately the English army surrounded him and arrested him and ordered court martial of Mangal Pandey. The English ruling on April 6 ruled that Mangal Pandey be hanged on April 18. But this date was later on April 8, so that the fire of rebellion would not spread even in other regiments. There was a lot of respect for the people of Mangal Pandey that no executioner of Barrackpore was ready to hang. As a result, calling the four hangers from Calcutta, Mangal Pandey was hanged on April 8, 1857. By hanging Mangal Pandey on the gallows, the English rule that he wanted to end the spark of the rebellion had spread, and on seeing it, he took the whole country in his quest
