A couple of years ago I downloaded the mobile version of Fortnite for the first time on my old Xiaomi MI 11 Lite in order to see how good this ambitious port was, and although I admit that the final result left a little to be desired (partly due to the humble capabilities of my SmartPhone) it was still surprising that a game like this ran portable on a phone.
It is no small thing, although there are other examples of Battle Royale in the different app stores (Call of Duty, Free Fire and PUBG Mobile are excellent examples), none of them had the level of demand of Fortnite, for the simple fact that all these titles were conceived with our phones in mind from the beginning.
The point is that after a couple of (unsuccessful) games I decided to stop playing and uninstall it, leaving it all as a curious technical experiment without much future.
However, technology is advancing by leaps and bounds and although my current phone (A Redmi Note 13 Pro+) is barely more powerful than my previous phone, I was very curious about the evolution of this port over the last two years, expecting considerable improvements in terms of optimization.
And indeed, although Fortnite is still a superior experience on PC or desktop consoles, I recognize that the current version of the Mobile Port is much more enjoyable than the one I tried that time, closing the quality gap between it and its older sisters much more, and taking advantage of all the playable possibilities of this title that has grown so much lately.
That's right, in the Mobile version of Fortnite we have access to practically all the modes available in the Epic Games giant, from the classic modes with or without construction, to those more recent modes such as the concert mode (which mimics guitar hero) or a curious racing mode (Inspired by Rocket League).
And while it's still quite inferior in terms of graphics and the controls don't translate very well to the touch screen, it's a solid and accessible alternative for those players who don't have a modern console, a decent PC, or who simply want to spend a little time on their phones.
On the other hand, I must also admit that my experience with Fortnite is rather limited, and I'm very surprised by the way in which this free 2 play has grown so much, becoming more of a platform to enjoy other games (as happens with Roblox), than a game isolated from everything else.
So, do I recommend the mobile version of Fortnite? It depends: if you don't have access to one of its larger versions, yes, but obviously there are still technical details to be polished, and, considering that it has crossplay, it's clear that as the ranks increase and the matchmaking system demands more of us, it will be easy to fall behind our rivals with gamepad and keyboard.

Hace un par de años descargué por primera vez la versión móvil de Fortnite en mi antiguo Xiaomi MI 11 Lite con la finalidad de ver qué tan bueno era este ambicioso port, y aunque admito que el resultado final dejaba un poco que desear (En parte debido a las humildes capacidades de mi SmartPhone) no dejaba de ser sorprendente que un juego como este corriera de manera portátil en un teléfono.
No es para poco, aunque existen otros ejemplos de Battle Royale en las distintas app stores (Call of Duty, Free Fire y PUBG Mobile son ejemplos excelentes), ninguno contaba con el nivel de exigencia de Fortnite, por el simple hecho de que todos estos títulos fueron concebidos con nuestros teléfonos en mente desde el principio.
El punto es que luego de un par de partidas (fracasadas) decidí parar de jugar y desinstalarlo, dejándolo todo como un curioso experimento técnico sin mucho futuro.
No obstante, la tecnología avanza a pasos agigantados y aunque mí teléfono actual (Un Redmi Note 13 Pro+) es apenas más potente que mi teléfono anterior, sentía mucha curiosidad por la evolución de este port durante los dos últimos años, esperando mejoras considerables en términos de optimización.
Y efectivamente, aunque Fortnite sigue siendo una experiencia superior en PC o Consolas de sobremesa, reconozco que la versión actual del Port Mobile es mucho más disfrutable de la que probé esa vez, cerrando mucho más la brecha de calidad entre ella y sus hermanas mayores, y tomando ventaja de todas las posibilidades jugables de este título que ha crecido tanto últimamente.
Así es, en la versión Mobile de Fortnite tenemos acceso a prácticamente todas las modalidades disponibles en el gigante de epic games, desde los modos clásicos con o sin construcción, hasta aquellas modalidades mas recientes como el modo concierto (Que mimica a guitar hero) o un curioso modo de carreras (Inspirado en Rocket League).
Y si bien sigue siendo bastante inferior en términos de gráficos y los controles no se trasladan muy bien a la pantalla táctil, resulta una alternativa solida y accesible para aquellos jugadores que no cuentan con una consola moderna, una PC en condiciones o que simplemente desean gastar un poco de tiempo en sus teléfonos.
Por todo lado, también debo reconocer que mi experiencia con Fortnite es más bien poca, y me sorprende mucho la forma en la que este free 2 play ha crecido tanto, convirtiéndose más en una plataforma para disfrutar de otros juegos (como sucede con Roblox), que en un juego aislado de todo lo demás.
Entonces, ¿Recomiendo la versión móvil de Fortnite? Depende: si no cuentan con el acceso a una de sus versiones más grandes si, pero evidentemente aún faltan detalles técnicos por pulir, y, considerando que cuenta con crossplay, es evidente que a medida que van aumentando los rangos y el sistema de emparejamiento nos exige más será fácil quedarnos atrás frente a nuestros rivales con gamepad y teclado.

With cross play enabled you would be at a disadvantage in a competitive scene. But it's still good for someone who doesn't have other means to play it.
Btw, how was the Rocket League Racing one (not sure what its name is)? I heard it is not too bad.
The racing game was... Fun, but pretty hard hahaha
