What is a Custom Set?
As we can see on the Splinterlands website, sets are “cards from your collection that can be rented together as a package”. In the case of Custom Sets, it allows players to choose customized cards from their collection, to rent together instead of renting them one by one. You can find Custom Sets by going to Items → Card Sets → Create Set → Custom Set. There is a note about sets, that they cannot be listed for rent if they contain soulbound cards.
Creating a custom set is simple. By clicking on Custom Set, you will be directed to a screen where on the left you will find the Filters, including: Format, Collection, Foil, Role, Rarity and Element. On the right you will have the cards to select and then add to the Set.
Peakmonsters x Deck Builder
As a curiosity, before Sets were added to Splinterlands, the Peakmonsters website already had a very similar feature that allowed customization. This feature, known as “Deck Builder”, allowed players to create a selection of cards and place them into a custom deck. The interesting thing is that in addition to creating large collections, it also allows you to create strategies for specific rules and amounts of mana, something that is not yet possible for the Custom Set.
Some interesting information about the Deck Builder is that you can vote on Decks, creating a list of the decks most favored by players, which allows you to see which decks the Splinterlands community considers most interesting. Furthermore, after creating the Deck, you can see how much it would cost to buy all the cards in the collection, or how much it would cost to rent all the cards per day and per season. However, one downside of Decks is that you won't always find all the cards listed, having to look for some outside of the game, making it difficult to create collections.

O que é Custom Set?

No caso dos Custom Sets, permite com que os jogadores escolham cartas customizadas da sua coleção, para alugar em forma conjunta em vez de alugar uma por uma. Algumas informações interessantes do Deck Builder é que você consegue votar em Decks fazendo com que haja uma lista com os decks mais favoritados pelos jogadores, o que permite ver quais são os deck que a comunidade do Splinterlands considera mais interessantes. Ainda, depois do Deck criado você consegue observar ao lado quanto que seria o preço para comprar todas as cartas contidas na coleção, ou quanto seria para alugar todas as cartas por dia e por season. Entretanto, um ponto negativo dos Decks é que nem sempre você vai acabar encontrando todas as cartas listadas, tendo que procurar algumas por fora, dificultando a criação das coleções.
