Well, I won't go away, will I? I saw some #DCity hate last week on Hive, but I'm still HOLDING strong. I understand the lack of love...just looking at this chart is scary in and of itself.
I know it sounds like fantasy, but there was a point when taxes in the game were literally almost zero. I know, fantasy, right? You can see the impact taxation has on my income charts below:
Rough! Yeah, that's right...I used to make almost $4 USD/game with the simulation. I still hope those days return at some point.
Some of the benefits from last week's game included the following :
- Trained +4 Workers
- Trained +1 Scientist
- Snagged a Night background
- Picked up +3 Gamers for holding a Splinterlands fest.
I think I also picked up a Technology card, but I failed to record that in my notes. I'm guessing that was the night I was watching the Bucks lose yet again while sucking down a few High Lifes. Rough one, on so many different levels!
My hope is that I'll be back to break even on my Litecoin investment in this game. I mean, let's get back to break-even already.
Next week's goals for the game include the following :
- Hold all cards
- Maintain a SIM power of at least 10,000
- Invest in high ROI cards next week when possible
I use a simple card SIM Cost over SIM generated daily to calculate ROIs. I could go discounted cash flows, but I'll save that type of analysis for something else.

I focus on keeping as much SIM power as possible and wait through hard times. Few weeks ago I reorganized my city to get more HIVE rewards, just few days before it was cut down.
I think you have a solid strategy. I used to buy daily, but the tax situation threw me off. I know I try to keep my Hive Power over 8k just to get a bit more HIVE daily too. Once I am up to 10k in SIM over that value (or 10k SIM Power, maybe...hey, I'm always adjusting!), I think I'll gobble up as many cards as I can to increase my daily SIM rewards. Thanks for stopping by and checking this out! Yeah, taxes will be high (not sure how long). I saved up to buy a Law Firm a while ago; that card gives you a 10% reduction in your tax rate. It's not much, but every bit helps, especially as you accumulate day over day.
If you own many law firm , how will the tax be calculated ? Thx
Hey it should be a 10% reduction..so if the tax rate is 95%, your tax rate will be 85%.
