Ideas that add up: why is it so important to recycle?

Today I'm going to point out 5 important reasons why we should start a life policy based on recycling as soon as possible:

1-We help preserve the environment.

When recycling, we reduce the use of energy to transport, extract and transform the raw material, which leads to drastically reduce the use consumed in all these processes.

This saving minimizes the consumption of CO2, the greenhouse effect and, as a consequence, also positively impacts the adverse effect on the climate (climate change). In this way it improves our respiratory and cardiovascular health by improving air quality.

2-We create new products and develop the imagination.

Boxes, rubbers, cans, plastic and glass bottles, packaging and a wide variety of materials, as many as your creativity reach, can be reused. You can also prolong the useful life of the objects by giving them a different use after a certain time. This is the case of glasses, vases and pots with kitchen containers or bottles.

Currently there is a movement of eco-design whose work is developed based on respect and protection of the environment.

3-We save the raw material of nature.

Products such as plastic, glass and paper, if we use and re-use it would not be so necessary to make them again. Thus we save important amounts of resources that have a high cost to nature. Like cutting down forests, for example.

According to sources of the FAO, organization for food and agriculture belonging to the United Nations, UN, forests are lungs in large cities that help purify the air and balance climate change. One tree captures 150 kilograms of CO2 per year.

4-We contribute to mitigate the consequences of climate change and preserve the environment

If we observe a garbage dump, what do we discover?

If we recycle:

• The reduction in the amount of greenhouse gases would be one of the first consequences if the industries would pollute the environment less.

• If we make compost with organic waste for our plants, we would avoid the use of chemical fertilizers.

• We also take care of the aquifers in their natural habitat, and that of a significant number of species.

Are you aware of the benefits of such an everyday and simple act as the recycling of objects and materials that you no longer use or that you can change their use after a while?

5-New jobs are created and maintained.

The recycling process requires institutions and personnel that collect and classify the materials: paper and cardboard (blue color); plastic and cans (yellow); packaging, waste and medication (white); glass (green) and organic (orange)
The culture of recycling starts the execution of projects whose objective is the social and labor inclusion of less disadvantaged groups and people.

The truth is that there are plenty of reasons to take the road. Recycling is a simple, daily, rewarding and friendly activity that can help us see life in a different way.

From the smallest to older adults can participate in recycling activities as it is an example of social responsibility and maturity towards how we assume the environment.

People produce large amounts of waste daily and still there is a resistance in the population on the awareness of recycling practices.

Being a simple activity and that is within reach of all possibilities, why not exercise a responsible form of consumption?
Everything is beginning. The recycling process can give you many satisfactions in your home, at school, in the community. Go ahead and start a project. Start a blog where you can publish your ideas and thus encourage other people to start this journey.

From the distribution and proper disposal of waste to the reuse of materials that we daily throw away; but that they are susceptible to give them back to use, is to have a lifestyle in favor of the environment and to improve the quality of life of the planet.

It is the right path we must take and point out to future generations.
