What is your Steemit identity?
How do you think you are viewed by other members of Steemit, maybe you have never thought about it. Are you someone that posts about controversial topics just for views are do you post about about what you had for breakfast and not really care who many views you get. We sure do have huge range of members on steemit posting about everything, members doing their own thing, other working together in small groups are large community, some members are here just for investment and have huge accounts but never made a single post are comment. Steemit in the sense is a very unique place that brings a decentralized social media platform to the blockchain. As with every large community, we have goodies and baddies and each member fish are whale are judged based on their actions.
It is something i never really thought about until around a month back. Everyday for past few months, i log into discord and have a bunch of messages related to @ssg-community to either answer are fix problems. Now there are 4 of us that run this upvoting bot account for the #steemsilvergold community so i am sure they have the same messages. I also know im aware this is a role i have taken and understand there would be work involved. The work is ok, but i am starting to feel like i am associated to @ssg-community more than @silverstackeruk. For one, i spend alot more time tending to Precious than i do my personal account which is starting to show when i look at my stats and followers drop off rate. Maybe i have immersed myself to much into #ssg-community and only have myself to blame. It has been over a year from i joined up and wonder has it all been worth it? Forgetting about the current price of STEEM, i would have to say HELL YES, it has been worth it.
Let's have a look at i have get myself involved with as
- Took responsibility of the #steemsilvergold membership list in a weekly update post
- Set up and continue to maintain the community discord server
- Arranged the UK group buy for the 2017 Steem round
- Joined thealliance community
- Got voted in as mod for the steemsilvergold community
- Took responsibility of the #steemsilvergold enrollment
- Started a monthly community crypto buy in Jan 2018
- Arranged the Uk group buy for the 2018 Steem round
- Became 1 of the 5 to run @ssg-community
- Held many community Smartnode group buys
- Took part in countless raffles and community projects
And as 1/5th of
- Work with @welshstacker, @thedamus, @raybrockman and @buggedout to do what is best for Steemsilvergold
- Helped with the rest of steemsilvergold to grow a bot from 0 voting SP to over 100k voting SP in a matters of weeks.
- Produce around 25 posts per month
- Answer back to comments
- Track donations and delegations to the bot
- Answer questions and fix problems for members
- Ensure the bot is running smoothly and update on time
- and perhaps the most time consuming thing of all, helping to run and arrange huge contests
The lines are starting to get blurry and when i turn the computer on, im not sure which account to log into first.
What is you Steemit Identity?
I am not one to blow my own head up but if i know anything about my steemit identity, i know i am a trusted member of the community. I guess i hold $5k plus easy in crypto's for other members through 8 months of crypto buys, running 7 smartnodes and a CDM masternode. I have done hundreds of transactions with other members totaling into the tens of thousands and not one person has ever has a problem which is pretty remarkable considering all the easy to make mistakes that can happen with cryptos. So i know i am trusted which is always a good thing. As for the rest, im not so sure but it is an interesting thought.
I, for one appreciate everything you do for @ssg-community and sometimes I do think some members over look the stuff you do actually do.
You have my complete trust and It does speak volumes to a person's character when so many other members feel the same toward you.
Keep up the great work and for God sake, please don't leave me!! 😂
Your in the same boat, lol.
I personally appreciated everything that you have done and are doing for the community. Unfortunately most people do not understand what it entails and have a me attitude. You have an identity. It’s s pot smoking metal/crypto head that makes us all laugh and keeps us informed in a very unique way. When you are dealing with this amount of people you can’t please everyone. You doing a great job.👍
Thanks man, i am a pot smoking stacker/crypto head. I guess there is nothing wrong with my identity after all :)
Not at all my friend.👍
Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold
How can I check if I'm still a member of #steemsilvergold and #ssg-community ? Since I've seemed to have lost a Precious upvote lately.
Your still a member of #steemsilvergold but the rules for 'ssg-community have changed a little. The free upvote has been removed. There has been a 10SP min delegation to receive an upvote. It was voted on by the community around a month back.
Ahhh, I must have missed the memos having being feeling ill since then. May I have the link/post to these rule changes? I may not post often enough to warrant an upvoting delegation but I'd like to get up to date.
Man you have been wearing a lot of hats, I gotta let you know that I appreacate everything you do and have done for us!
And i wonna do that poker idea of yours as well. I really like that idea.
Thanks for the awesome comment brother
Yes, I definitely think about these things too and my recent 'insight' was I don't have any niche and so am not really interesting to follow except if you like me as a person in general :D Lol. Well, that's just me, not being able to pick one topic to focus on, but doing a little bit of everything. Doesn't help my 'fingerprint' but I'm not going to change who I am either :-) Sounds like you've been doing the opposite ;-) Start a weekly theme that's not SSG to start, maybe it helps :D
