Eminem’s Mockingbird: A Father’s Love, A Listener’s Solace...

For a guy who's a total music freak evidenced by not just listening to them but by writing about them too, it's really a hard thing for me getting to pick just one out of my numerous favourites to be my best, lol.
Speaking of it, I just realized this will be the third music post I have written in the past 24 hours, lol.. Crazy, right?

Musics are always more than the sounds we hear. The lyricism, the sounds, the melodies, the vocals all combines together to lay out perfect renditions that gets beyond the musical notes to deliver outstanding touch to our souls... Speaking to us where mere words of mouth couldn't get.

I listen to musics based on the mood I am in and for every of those moments, what I feel from those musics is unparalleled to anything else.

A song however stands out; one that can perfectly fit into every mood I am in and the one track I can listen to over and over, without it losing its impact nor getting tired, Mockingbird by Eminem! That's the song.

Mockingbird is a song by Eminem from his album Encore. It is a song that portrays resilience in struggles with Eminem as the father struggling to keep his family together.
Not just is this a song but a confession of an unconditional love for his daughter, an emotional rollercoaster when he assured her..

When I'm gone, but I'm tryin' to give you the life that I never had

In his vocals could be found mix of sadness, hope, pain and resilience all interwoven together. This unique feature is what makes it flexible enough to be a music I easily accept as it covers almost every humanly emotions.

Listening to this song Mockingbird gives me the comfort that it's not just me that experience pains and struggles, everyone does! And most persons come out unscathed and stronger than they were. It's like a comforting tool to me that even in the darkest times, there is always a way forward and the funny thing is that it does this not by just giving you just solace, but by also challenging you to face your emotions with all you've got when he said;

We gon' pull together through it, we gon' do it

And it's not just about the lyrics of this song, the production itself is something amazing. With every chord and piano sound so perfect allowing you to hear Eminem's words that come as fast as they can in what I will call a perfect rhythm. This envelopes me into an emotional well allowing me swim in the ocean of a perfect melodious rendition.

While Mockingbird isn't the only song that resonates this stromg feeling for me nor is Eminem the best artist for me there ever is, this track Mockingbird gets this shot at the top for me because it's an experience, it's more than just a music. And this is why no matter how many times it comes up in shuffle to play while I'm listening to songs, I'll never hit the next button but sink myself in that ocean of lessons and emotional rollercoaster it passes.

That! Is the beauty of great music. It doesn't just play in the background, but draws you into it and walks you down as it plays leaving a mark on your soul.
