Hello all my friends
Today, I will explain a little about the history of Diaceh, a few years ago. but the legacy of this historic place, has become a tourist attraction, for tourists and the surrounding community, to bring family, and relatives.
this place has become a popular tourist spot in Diaceh, besides having a very historic place, this place can be a place of recreation and can see the beauty of the sea, from the direction of this hill.
this place is still under the supervision of the city government of Lhokseumawe, in handling the reception of guests, maintenance and renopation of the place.
want to know how the story, see below :
The name Gua Jepang, located in Blang Panyang Village, Muara Satu District, Lhokseumawe City, is no stranger to the ears of the surrounding community. The cave is often visited by scout members, or for those who like the expedition.
Since the Japanese occupation of Indonesia began in March 1942, and also in the Province of Aceh including the city of Lhokseumawe occupied by Japanese soldiers, and to be precise Aceh is often called Guha or kuroek-roek) on the hill of Blang Panyang Village.
Every day, from morning to evening, there are about 300 physical workers who are deployed to dig the caves. In a period of approximately 6 (six) months and precisely at the beginning of December 1942, the caves were excavated. The number of caves (cave location) was initially 17 (seventeen) units, and currently there are only 12 (twelve) cave locations that can be observed and entered into the cave.
Besides the excavated caves, there are also fortresses and defense bunkers built in the mouth / door of the cave or around the cave (there are about 8 bunkers on the Cave of Japan Blang Panyang Cave). Based on stories and results of field checks in 1993 and 1994 by Drs. Ishaq Rizal, M.Si, currently serving as Head of the Department of Transportation, Tourism and Culture, there are 12 (twelve) Gua units and 6 (six) bunkers on the Japanese Cave Hill.
The caves are at an altitude of 71 meters to 95 meters above sea level, and are at coordinate points, namely: 050 12 '18.3 "to 050 12' 31.3" North Latitude & 0970 05 '48.7 "s / d 0970 06 '09.8 "East Longitude. The cave was used by the Japanese army for reconnaissance and also attacks from the top of the hill.
The main cave and the largest is on the west and consists of 5 (five) doors / mouths of the cave to go in and out (one of the directions is from above). Besides that, this cave has many rooms inside and between rooms can be passed. The size of the door / mouth of the cave is an average of 2.5 meters wide and nearly 3 meters high. The caves are made, generally the mouth of the cave leads to the sea. The aim is to monitor / lurk enemies in the Malacca Strait waters (especially along the Ujong Blang beach in Lhokseumawe).
this can also be evidenced by the presence of several fortress buildings on the beach of Ujong Blang Lhokseumawe which until now can still be seen. Based on the story of Marwan Bin Ahmad Bahri there are about 30 cave mouths (each cave has 2 to 5 doors / mouth of the cave). Each cave has its own meaning and designation for the Japanese army, there are for attacks, reconnaissance, meetings, arsenal of weapons and food logistics, and others. Of the dozens of caves that have the Government through the 2007 APBK Fund, they have rehabilitated one of the caves which are the main cave, we can mark them by seeing the gates that resemble Japanese army hats.
How
surely you all have see the place.
that's some of my brief explanations, in the history of this Japanese cave, I got the source of explanation from the Department of Transportation, Tourism and Culture of Lhokseumawe City, hopefully useful.
I end with word
greetings from me @sultan-aceh
