Hello travelers
I come again in your midst with a special blog, that's what I like to call it, because today I have chosen a kind of meeting place of several objectives.
But by the time we got here, I think you already know that Rome has entered our hearts, so by the time we reached our destination we got lost in the narrow and cozy streets.
We strolled through the winding streets and our first stop was Piazza Borghese, here we could admire the architecture of the buildings, but we could also take a break at the very nice terraces/restaurants, something caught my attention, a tree with a stone sculpture on top (I couldn't find any information about this work).
I saw that if you are a bit more romantic or if you don't want to walk a lot (in Rome you have to walk a lot) you have the option to see the sights of this area from a horse-drawn carriage, I think it would be an experience not to be missed (I couldn't find time for that).
We were already on the Via della Fontanella di Borghese enchanted by what we see around us, at a moment somewhere in the distance at the end of the street we see one of our objectives today, the French Church (Trinita dei Monti) but also the crowd of people that was already becoming unrecognizable.
Ready, we activate the button ,,patience,,, and we mingle in the crowd and we continue our way to the first objective in our way, namely Fontana della Barcaccia, this objective is located in the Spanish Square, the history of this fountain is really very interesting so below I will leave some information about it.
The Fontana della Barcaccia "Fountain of the Boat") is a Baroque-style fountain found at the foot of the Spanish Steps in Rome's Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Square). Pope Urban VIII commissioned Pietro Bernini in 1623 to build the fountain as part of a prior Papal project to erect a fountain in every major piazza in Rome. The fountain was completed between 1627 and 1629 by Pietro possibly along with the help of his son Gian Lorenzo Bernini, especially after his father's death on August 29, 1629.The sculptural fountain is made into the shape of a half-sunken ship with water overflowing its sides into a small basin. The source of the water comes from the Acqua Vergine, an aqueduct from 19 BCE. Bernini built this fountain to be slightly below street level due to the low water pressure from the aqueduct. Water flows from seven points of fountain: the center baluster; two inside the boat from sun-shaped human faces; and four outside the boat.
According to legend, as the River Tiber flooded in 1598, water carried a small boat into the Piazza di Spagna. When the water receded, a boat was deposited in the center of the square, and it was this event that inspired Bernini's creation.[1] The fountain is decorated with the papal coat of arms of the Barberini family as a reminder of Pope Urban VIII's ancestry.
We go further and take a few steps up the Spanish Steps (Scalinata della Trinita dei Monti), another highlight of the day, at first glance it seems quite a lot of steps up (137 steps), here, what can I say, extremely crowded, whether standing or standing on the steps, everyone was drawn here like a magnet (I guess that's the charm of these steps), I find it the perfect place to socialize, to come with friends and to make new friends.
We tried the feeling of blending in with the scenery by sitting down the stairs, it's really something beautiful, but we continue up the last part of the stairs to reach our last stop today, the French Church (Trinita dei Monti).
Right in front of the church in Piazza della Trinita dei Monti I noticed a very interesting monument, after some research I found out that it is the Sallustiano Obelisk (you can find more information about this monument here).

I have a very intense memory of this spot. I remember after visiting the Colosseum, we went there and it was a hot summer day. It was so crowded that we couldn't even take better photos of ourselves. Our energy was so low that we didn't even dare to climb those stairs so we just admired the beauty from far away. Later we visited Dior, and Prada stores nearby and then we had our lunch. Restaurants were expensive there compared to other locations but we loved the fountain a lot...
To get the authentic Italian experience it's clear you'll have to do a lot of walking, I think exploring the sights on foot has its charms, unless it's very hot outside.
When we visited Rome we were lucky to have beautiful weather, in Romania we were in the winter season but in Italy the temperature outside was perfect for exploring.
Throughout our visit to Rome we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather, so we were able to explore many places there, I can't wait to share with you some more places in Rome.

The place is simply attractive especially the structures around, is architectural design, It's enticing to learn more. I cant blame the crowds. Its worth it to visit.
If you're used to crowds then you'll have a great time here and, yes, as you wrote, the surrounding architecture is also stunning.
I easily got over the fact that to take a picture I have to wait even ten minutes, I am usually very patient.
From my own experience I can tell you that when you explore these places, you easily overcome some inconveniences.
